BSA North East Medical Sociology Group Event Wednesday 22nd April 2015 At Northumbria University Call for Papers The North East Medical Sociology Group is currently planning its next half day seminar which will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 22nd April 2015 at Northumbria University. This promises to be another interesting and lively event. The keynote speaker on this occasion will be Professor David Byrne, Director of Postgraduate Studies in the School of Applied Social Sciences at Durham University. He will speak on the topic, Evaluating Complex Interventions. Professor Byrne is also a Fellow of the Wolfson Institute of Health and Wellbeing, and during his career has held many positions of responsibility on national and regional organisations. In 2012, he received the Social Policy Association (SPA) Special Recognition Award. We would as usual like to offer researchers working in the field of medical sociology in the North East the opportunity to make a short presentation about their research. We shall select 2-3 presentations. If you are interested in submitting an abstract, this should be of no more than 250 words. Abstracts should be sent to Sue McAsey ([email protected]) by Friday, 30th January 2015. Contributions are invited from early career researchers and PhD students as well as established academics.
