Ready, set, winter!
Douglas Kline – Deerpath
The sledding hill, located next to the Clubhouse on the Par 3 course and overlooking Birch Island Lake, is a favorite of young
families. This spirited group is making the most of the sunny day and perfect sledding conditions.
A new season of fun begins
Warm clothes and food. Cozy indoor
activities. Holiday parties and feasts.
And a new season of outdoor adventure. These are among the many joys
that winter brings. How will you enjoy
the coming months at Voyager Village?
Here are three suggestions:
• Gather in the Grill. We’re planning
many holiday meals and events.
Details on page 5.
• Explore our trails.
There are many
opportunities for
skiing, snowshoeing
and snowmobiling in
Voyager and the
surrounding areas.
Details on page 3.
• Observe nature. The barren trees
allow for spectacular views of the landscape, sky and wildlife. Keep your eyes
peeled and your camera handy.
Numbers to know
• 70 miles of public cross-country
ski trails in the area
• 11 miles of cross-country ski trails
in Voyager Village
• 300 miles of snowmobile trails at
our doorstep

Recreational amenities: We are always
striving to enhance the recreational
experience of our members. This winter,
snowmobilers will benefit from the work we’ve
done to improve trail markings, create safer
routes and offer more convenient parking.
Member communication: This winter we will
be developing the secure member section of

4 ways to stay active!
Golf and Recreation News
from Rob Witter
1. Snowmobile for miles
Over 300 miles of snowmobile trails wind
their way through Burnett County and
connect to all surrounding counties.
2. Snowshoe and cross-country ski
Blue and white directional signs will lead you to our 5-mile Golf
Course Trail, open to skate and classic skiers, and Hanscom Lake
(3.5 miles) and Muellner (3.2 miles) trails, open to classic skiing and
snowshoeing. There are nearly 70 miles of additional trails nearby.
3. Pull out the sleds and tip-ups
Kids love our sledding hill, located on the Par 3 Course across from the Clubhouse.
They also get a kick out of ice fishing. Check with the local bait shops to get the latest
conditions on our local lakes, safe ice fishing protocol, and of course, the bait.
4. Swim and workout indoors
Swim some laps, do some water aerobics and use the exercise equipment in our
Fitness Center to help you stay active and fit all winter long. Located on the lower level
of the Clubhouse.
• Golf Shop closed in January and February.
Thank you XC Voyagers! XC Voyagers, our cross-country ski
club, and other volunteers groom and maintain all of the ski trails within
Voyager Village, as well as the sledding area. Be sure to thank them for
their wonderful contributions to our community.
• Stop by in December to purchase gift certificates
and merchandise.
• Visit VoyagerVillage.com/recreation for more
details on our trails.

Positive trends in local real estate sales
There is good news on the local real
estate front and that’s good news
for Voyager Village and its property owners. As we write this, 2014
residential home sales in Burnett
County are the highest since 2007.
Median year-to-date prices are
the highest since 2008, showing a
$10,000 increase over the average
for the last five years. And we are
proud to report that Voyager Village
Realty is once again the sales leader,
with more list and sale sites than any
other local agency. We’d be happy
to answer any questions you have
about Voyager Village real estate.
