The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship

The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who support the
preservation of the hunting tradition and actively participate in hunting sports. You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be
involved in school activities, and demonstrate community involvement and ability as a leader to be eligible for this
award. Applicants for the scholarship must be members of the NWTF and are judged on their scholastic achievements,

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
This program annually rewards up to 20 college bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity,

National MS Society Scholarship Program

MS shouldn’t stand in the way of an education. This is why the National MS Society's scholarship program exists — to
help highly qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of
going to college. The Society established its scholarship program in 2003 and the program continues to grow both in
terms of support and scholarships awarded. In its first year of operation the program awarded 36 scholarships for a total
of $68,000; in 2014 over $1 million was awarded to 718 scholars.

Pride Foundation Scholarship
Pride Foundation provides post-secondary educational scholarships to current and future leaders in the lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and straight ally community from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
Since the program began in 1993, donors and volunteers have helped Pride Foundation award over $3.5 million to
nearly 1,400 scholars – making it one of the largest LGBT scholarship programs in the country. In collaboration with our

Idaho Science and Space Scholar
Become an Idaho Science and Space Scholar. Through this competitive program, students from across the Gem State
take an engaging online course, through Idaho Digital Learning Academy (IDLA) in space exploration and learn a broad
range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills aligned with Idaho’s Core Standards. Based on
their performance in this course, students are then selected to participate in a weeklong, all-expenses paid, residential
summer Academy at Boise State University and NASA Ames Research Center in California.
To be eligible you must:
 Be a U.S. Citizen and Idaho resident
 Be a high school junior with an interest in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
 Have a minimum GPA of 2.7
 Be at least 16 years of age and have parental permission
 Commit to all aspects of the ISAS program

SME Education Foundation Scholarships
SME Education Foundation (SME-EF) Scholarships provide financial support for students pursuing careers in engineering
and technology fields of study closely related to manufacturing. Notice: These scholarships are focused on students
pursuing a degree in an engineering discipline that is directly related to manufacturing. If you are not planning to
enroll and follow a manufacturing-related engineering course of study, please do not proceed. Your application will

National FFA Organization Scholarship
In 2014, the National FFA Organization awarded $2.2 million in scholarships designed to fit the diversity of our
applicants. Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given
for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans.
The selection process takes into account the whole student - FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural
Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics.
How do I apply?
Students access the application through the Agricultural Career Network (AgCN) located
at www.ffa.org. FFA members with AgCN accounts log into MyAgCN and select the “National Scholarships” menu
button on their My Homepage. FFA members without an AgCN account must contact their advisor for an invitation.
Non-members create a profile (My Information) through the “Community” portal in AgCN (Community Portal) to access
the “National Scholarships” menu button.

University of Idaho Friends of 4-H College Scholarship
The University of Idaho Friends of 4-H Board offers scholarships to assist Idaho 4-H members with post-high school
education in Idaho. Applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 20 and have been a 4-H member for at least 4 years
at the time of application. Two of the four years must have been during High School.
Both current and former members are eligible. Proof of enrollment in college must be provided before receiving
scholarship.

Idaho School Board Association Scholarship
Not less than $250.00
The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for students
who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and citizenship during high school.
Eligibility:
 Children and grandchildren of Idaho public schools trustees or of charter school governing board members, past
or present, are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
 The parent or grandparent (not great-grandparent) must be an active board member or must have previously
served 3 years or longer.
 Applicants for the 2015 Scholarship Program must be a senior who is graduating (or plans to graduate) from an
Idaho public high school prior to September 1, 2015.
 The student should be planning to enroll in a postsecondary educational institution during the year they are
awarded the scholarship.

CAMP Scholarships
CAMP Scholarship is an educational program which serves students from migrant or seasonal farm worker families.
CAMP assists students in their first year of college with academic, personal, and financial support. CAMP serves
approximately 2,400 migrant participants annually. Overall, nearly three-quarters of all CAMP students graduate with

Governor’s Cup Scholarship
$3,000
The Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship provides approximately 25 awards, depending on funding, to Idaho high school
seniors planning to attend an Idaho college or university.
The number of awards is conditional on the availability of funds. Awards will be available to scholars pursuing academic
and professional-technical education. The $3,000 award is renewable for up to four years for academic scholars, and for
the term of the chosen program, up to three years, for professional-technical students. To qualify for the scholarship,
a student must meet all of the following criteria:
 Be a resident of Idaho
 Be a graduating senior of an Idaho high school
 Enroll as a full-time student in an academic or technical program at an Idaho college or university (and take the
ACT or SAT if enrolling in an academic program)
 Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

DAR Scholarships
Each year the DAR awards over $150,000 through more than 25 scholarships to you individuals for their outstanding
academic achievements. DAR scholarships are offered for a wide range of disciplines including: history, law, medical,
nursing, music, education and many more. The various DAR scholarships each have different requirements and

Freedom Scholarship
$500
The Armed Forces/Public Safety Officer Scholarship provides a waiver of fees plus up to $500 per semester for books in
addition to on-campus housing and subsistence to children of Idaho citizens determined by the federal government to
have been prisoners of war, missing in action, or killed in action or died of injuries or wounds sustained in action in
southeast Asia, including Korea, or who shall become so hereafter, in any area of armed conflict in which the United
States is a party.
Awardees must attend an Idaho public college or university and meet all requirements for regular admission.
Educational benefits shall not exceed a total of thirty-six (36) months or four (4) nine (9) month periods.
Eligibility
For a child of a military member, the student must:
 Be an Idaho resident
 Be a graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent (GED from Idaho)
 Enroll as a student in an academic* or professional-technical program* at North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State
College, College of Southern Idaho, Eastern Idaho Technical College, University of Idaho, Boise State University,
Idaho State University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, Northwest Nazarene University, The College of Idaho,
or College of Western Idaho
 Be a child already born, or born after a military member is determined to be imprisoned or missing in action, or
is killed or becomes disabled

Staurulakis Family Scholarship Program

Manny and Leo Staurulakis established an annual scholarship program to be administered by the Foundation for Rural
Service (FRS) in honor of their parents, John and Chresanthe Staurulakis. The annual FRS Staurulakis Family Scholarships
fully funds four $5,000 scholarships each year for students planning to pursue science, math, medicine or engineering.

Idaho Power Scholarship

Idaho Power recognizes the value of higher education in the preparation of future leaders. This strong commitment to
education includes, as part of the company’s overall contributions program, the Idaho Power Scholarship for
Academic Excellence, which acknowledges individual achievement, community awareness and involvement, and
academic accomplishment.
Eligibility
Any student residing in the Idaho Power service area who is in the graduating class of an accredited high school or its
rated equivalent, plans full-time attendance at any accredited Idaho or Oregon two or four year college, university, or
vocational-technical school beginning in the fall semester following high school graduation, and has a minimum

This scholarship will be awarded to one student for $1000.00. Winner will receive $500 per year for two years.
Criteria for this scholarship are:

Tzu Chi Scholars is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and provide financial
assistance to outstanding college0bound high school graduates. Tzu Chi Scholars are selected on the basis of their
financial need, academic achievement and community involvement.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

Minority high school students are encouraged to submit their applications to the Jackie Robinson Foundation. In
addition to a financial grant, the foundation also provides its scholars with mentoring, internships and leadership
development.
To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must be a graduating, minority high school
senior; Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States; Show leadership
potential; Demonstrate a dedication to community service; Present evidence of financial need; Be a United States
citizen.
Applicants must also have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a

Interscholastic Star Scholarship

For Juniors
This award, co-sponsored by the Idaho High School Activities Association and the United
Dairymen of Idaho, was established in 1992 to recognize and reward outstanding students who participate in high school
athletic and non-athletic activities.
Applicants must be juniors who participate or have participated in at least one IHSAA-sponsored
sport and one IHSAA-sponsored activity. IHSAA-sponsored activities are: cheerleading, dance,
drama, speech, debate, vocal music and instrumental music. These activities must be extracurricular and should be
performance-based. Class-only participation will not be considered.
Students from 1A and 2A schools may also count FFA and/or student government.
Applicants must be students who:
A. Through their participation, strengthen interscholastic sports and activities programs.
B. Are active contributors to school and community organizations and programs.
C. Are good citizens and positive role models for their peers.
D. Promote the ideals of good sportsmanship and citizenship

Armed Forces and Public Safety Officer Scholarship
The Armed Forces and Public Safety Officer Scholarship provides a waiver of fees plus up to $500 per semester for books
in addition to on-campus housing and subsistence to:
 The spouse or children of Idaho citizens determined by the federal government to have been prisoners of war,
missing in action, or killed in action or died of injuries or wounds sustained in any area of armed conflict in which
the United States is a party.
Any spouse or child of any member of the armed forces of the United States who is stationed in the state of Idaho
on military orders and who is deployed from the state of Idaho to any area of armed conflict in which the United
States is a party and who has been determined by the federal government to be a prisoner of war or missing in
action; or to have died of, or become totally and permanently disabled by, injuries or wounds sustained in action as
a result of such deployment.
 Any spouse or child of a full-time or part-time public safety officer (peace officer or firefighter, paramedic or
EMT), employed by or volunteering for the state of Idaho or for a political subdivision of the state of Idaho,
which public safety officer is or was a resident of the state of Idaho at the time such officer was killed or totally
and permanently disabled in the line of duty as determined by the United States social security administration.
The death or disability shall have occurred on or after January 1, 1975.
Awardees must attend an Idaho public college or university and meet all requirements for regular admission.
Educational benefits shall not exceed a total of thirty-six (36) months or four (4) nine (9) month periods.

General rule of thumb for seniors searching for scholarships……..
Check the websites of the schools you are applying to, or call their financial aid office or admissions office, and inquire
about scholarships they may have available for incoming freshman.
FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (known as the FAFSA) is a form that can be prepared annually by current
and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid (including the
Pell Grant, Federal student loans and Federal Work-Study).
The U.S. Department of Education begins accepting applications beginning January 1st of each year for the upcoming
academic year.
