CAROLS MEDLEY
Angels from the Realms of Glory
Angels We Have Heard on High
Angels, from the realms of glory,
Wing your flight o’er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation’s story,
Now proclaim Messiah’s birth:
Come and worship, come and worship,
Worship Christ, the new-born King.
Angels we have heard on high,
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echo back their joyous strains.
Gloria in excelsis Deo,
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o’er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing,
Yonder shines the infant Light:
Come and worship, come and worship,
Worship Christ, the new-born King.
Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
Say what may the tidings be,
Which inspire your heav’nly song?
Gloria in excelsis Deo,
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Come to Bethlehem, and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria in excelsis Deo,
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Words by James Montgomery (1816) / Music by Henry T. Smart (1867)
Words from a traditional French carol, translated by James Chadwick (1862)
Music from a French carol melody, arranged by Edwin S. Barnes (c. 1930)
Hark! the Herald Angels Sing
Christ, by highest heav’n adored;
Christ, the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come,
Offspring of the virgin’s womb:
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
Hail th’incarnate Deity,
Pleased as man with men to dwell,
Jesus, our Emmanuel.
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King.”
Hail the heav’n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Ris’n with healing in His wings.
Mild He lays His glory by,
Born that man no more may die,
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King.”
Words by Charles Wesley (1739) / Music by Felix Mendelssohn (1840)
Merry Christmas!
CAROLS MEDLEY
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King;
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!”
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th’angelic host proclaim,
“Christ is born in Bethlehem!”
Hark! the herald angels sing,
“Glory to the new-born King.”
Faith Promise Fruit
HIGHLIGHTS
One of the most important ways your Faith Promise giving supports missions at
Grace Church is by providing missionaries with initial funds to move overseas.
In April, Faith Promise helped make it possible for Allan and Sandi Luciano to
join the Ransoms, Dexters, and Greenes in the Philippines. Allan reports on the
wonderful privilege of serving pastors who desire to preach the Word of God
clearly and faithfully—“Last month, Pastor Erwin (a local pastor who is on staff
at the training center) and I got to teach Doctrine Survey (Bibliology, Theology
Proper, and Christology) to a group of 40 pastors in Boracay. This is a faithful
group of men whose thoughtful questions made for very engaging discussions.”
Join our missionaries in praising the Lord for such valuable opportunities.

Grace Around the World
Rob & Vicki Anthony
Serving since 1988
Prayer / Praise
• Pray for Vicki as she meets with a young Kenyan woman for
Bible study and discipleship. The woman is married to an
unbeliever and has a very limited understanding of her faith
and the Bible.
• Pray for Rob as he is preaching at two churches, teaching a
course on Hebrews, and meeting once a week to mentor an
Egyptian missionary in his ministry to the Arabic-speaking
world.
Faith Promise
Last week you generously gave $21,363. Thank you for your ongoing support
of our missionary families.
