BARtON 1928 - 2014 | Age 86 Clayton Ralph Barton, age 86, was RECORD born April 2, 1928 in DeKalb County, MO. the son of Ralph and Edith (Armagost) Barton and passed away November 21, 2014 in Gainesville, MO. “C.R.” attended Maysville High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1946. He then received his commercial pilots license and joined the Air Force Reserves. He spent 13 months in Korea and was discharged in 1952. In 1963 “C.R.” joined the Army National Guard and was discharged April 2, 1988 at the age of 60 after 31 years of service. “C.R.” is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Steiner Hutchcraft; and brother, Russell Barton. He later moved to St. Joseph where he resided most of his life. On January 21, 1961 he married Kay Christian in Gate City, VA. Charlie spent 44 years working for yellow Freight, retiring in 1994, earning his 30 year accident free recognition. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of King Hill Lodge #376 A.F. & A.M. His hobbies included watching sports and playing cards. Preceding him in death are his parents; one son, Mike Davis; three siblings, John D. Davis, Helen Miller and Hazel Coughlin. Dotson, 67, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home in Savannah, MO. He was born April 26, 1947 to Edward and Betty (Wilson) Dotson in Whitesville, MO. As a young man, he moved to Houston, tX. and worked in construction for several years. Moving back to Missouri, he worked for Iowa Beef Packers in Rock Port, MO. for several years and then he moved to Savannah, MO. and started working for Carnation Pet Food which later became Friskies Pet Food retiring after 32 years of service. Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew Jay Dotson. He is survived by a brother; Allan (Beth) Dotson, St. Joseph, nephew; Steve and niece Ali Jo Dotson (R.C. LIBBy FARBER 1922 - 2014 | Age 92 Libby (Polsky) Farber, 92, St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. She was born January 10, 1922, to Benjamin and Bessie (Galler) Polsky. Libby graduated from Central High School and St. Joseph Junior College. After WWII, she met a returning veteran, Hymie Farber, who became her husband on September 22, 1946. Libby loved to entertain.
