We have created a sophisticated and subtle
collection of trays, mirrors and furniture
using traditional techniques with fresh
ideas of global origin. Luxury is melded
with practicality, in the spirit of decorative
objects. Each one-of-a-kind piece is created by
hand in our studio and features a signature
assuring its authenticity.
ABOUT DAWN
Dawn is a self-taught artist with Midwestern
sensibilities and a sophisticated eye for style. Dawn is
founder of Notre Monde, the elegant furniture and
accessory studio, established more than 15 years ago.
While designing distinctive furniture, lighting and
home accessories, she enlivens traditional techniques
with fresh ideas of global origin. She draws her
inspiration not only from her extensive travels all
over the world, but also from her experience in
decorating homes in Europe before settling in North
Carolina.
Inspired by such things around her-whether it’s a song,
Book, fashion, nature, texture on a painting, or the
ones she loves. She tries to select only the things that
speak directly to her so her work is authentic.
The Notre Monde brand is a direct expression of the
Dawn’s cheerful, on going immersion into various
cultures-with respect for ways in which other
communities embrace the good live.

Established in 1997, Notre Monde was an idea created out of
making one-of-a-kind, functional objects.
Our aesthetic is inspired by global patterns, textures and
layers. Our printing and hand-finishing techniques on wood,
mirror and glass contribute to the unique quality of each
piece.
As the company grew, we had to think of fresh and
innovative ways to produce our product to meet demand.
In 2013, Notre Monde partnered with Philippe Delaisse and
Benoît Loos (Ethnicraft) to expand throughout the global
marketplace.
Our production facility in Indonesia is dedicated to maintain
the high quality and craftsmanship that is the Notre Monde
brand. We are also able to create exclusive designs for our
global retail partners.
