COUNSELING NEWS
Whether you cut your wrapping paper in perfect lines and angles or have perfected the art of the gift
bag, this is the month for giving! So why not take some time out from the last minute shopping to help
us talk to your child about this month’s character trait of…
GENEROSITY – making someone’s day but giving something away.
Our culture does not generally encourage us to be generous. Looking out for ourselves and keeping
score of who owes what and what we own are the norm, and giving generously is surprising. If we can
model giving generously and give students a chance to see what it might feel like to do so, we can lift up
selflessness and an others-centered atmosphere.
