high achieving students Direct Admit status into
their major and scholarships during their four year
degree program.

Top faculty who blend the latest in business
theory with real-world application.
Students with a composite ACT of 25 or better, a
Math subscore of 23 or better, and a high school
GPA of 3.5 or higher will be eligible for awards
ranging from $8,000–$38,000 over the course of
four years.
To remain eligible, Business students must be
enrolled in at least 12 credit hours appropriate
for the intended major each semester, maintain a
cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00,
and earn a minimum grade of C in each course.

Scholarships
Dean’s Scholarships
Developed in 2010 to honor the academic
achievements of incoming Lubar freshmen, the
Dean’s Scholarships cover a portion of tuition
costs each year and are renewable for a total of
four years. Over the course of the scholarship,
the value is $8,000.

Rath Merit Scholarship
Lubar Scholarships
Distinguished business leader Sheldon B.
Lubar established the Lubar Scholarship Fund
to recognize the academic achievement of
talented business students and to encourage
students in the pursuit of their degree in
business administration from the Lubar School
of Business. The awards cover in-state tuition
and business differential fees for those students
who demonstrate academic merit and financial
need, or 60% of in-state tuition and business
The Rath Foundation established the Rath
Merit Scholarships in 1999 to assist outstanding
students in obtaining a business degree from the
Lubar School of Business. These scholarships
cover in-state tuition rates and business
differential fees and are valued at over $8,000
per year. The scholarship is renewable for a
maximum of four years of undergraduate study
based on maintaining a 3.25 GPA at full-time
status with continued enrollment in the Lubar
School of Business.
Business Scholars Program
During the first semester in the Lubar School
of Business, students are offered a seat in BUS
ADM 231: Business Scholars—Introduction
to Information Systems. This class provides
access to the Scholars Program in the freshman
year, when the program is typically open only
to sophomores. A few of the highlights of
Wisconsin’s premier program for high achieving
students include:

Lubar School’s top faculty—fostering student
interaction and individual attention.
The Lubar School of Business is accredited
by the Association to Advance Collegiate
Schools of Business (AACSB)—the
hallmark of excellence in business
education. Less than 5% of business schools
worldwide meet the rigorous standards of
AACSB accreditation, which ensures that the Lubar
School is training our students with high-quality faculty,
a dynamic curriculum, and the most current research.
On the UWM campus, many freshmen are
invited to join a Living Learning Community
while residing in of the residence halls. It is an
exciting way to live on-campus and meet fellow
students within an academic area of interest.
Lubar Direct Admit students that take advantage
of this opportunity will still be eligible to apply
to the Scholars program and fulfill all Business
degree requirements in a timely fashion. For

As a Lubar School of Business incoming freshmen,
students may receive an invitation to join the
UWM Honors College. Lubar Students are able
to pursue those requirements as well as a Business
degree and graduate within a four year timeline.

Application Information
To be eligible for these awards, students must
apply and be accepted to UWM by December 31,
2014. Students meeting the eligibility criteria will
