CALL FOR PAPERS
SCOPE
The IEEE International Workshop on Security issues in SDN (Sec-SDN 2015) will be held between April 13-17,
2015 in London, U.K. at the Cruciform Building of University College London (UCL) with 1st IEEE International
Conference on Network Softwarization (NetSoft 2015). Software Defined Networking emerged as a game
changer and major business enabler for current vendors, operators and software developing companies.
SecSDN 2015 aims to attract both academic researchers and a larger audience for scientific exchanges,
interactive expert panels and high quality paper presentations related to the security issues in SDN. Security in
SDN is becoming crucial for the deployment and acceptance of SDN based networks and critical infrastructures
and thus many current research efforts are addressing various pieces in this research landscape. With topics
that range from deep packet inspection, data analytics for SDN and data plane virtualization, Sec-SDN is the first
workshop to address the security issues faced by SDN. The workshop encourages authors to submit original
papers covering both theoretical and practical approaches for securing SDN, leveraging software driven security
architectures and reporting practical experiences from securing SDN.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Authors are invited to submit papers that fall into the area of software-defined and virtualized infrastructures.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
Security in software defined networking
Data analytics for monitoring in SDN
NFV for security management
Denial attack detection with SDN
Deep packet inspection in SDN
Service chaining for security monitoring
Threat and risk modelling for SDN
Data plane virtualization for security
OpenDayLight security mechanisms
Machine learning for SDN security
Domain Specific Languages for SDN security
Game theory for SDN security
Visualization of SDN security
Computational intelligence for Security in SDN
Agile secure development for SDN
SDN for critical infrastructure protection
Scada security and SDN
Security policies and management in SDN
PAPER SUBMISSION
Authors are invited to submit original papers up to 6 pages, which are not published or submitted for publication
elsewhere. Papers should be in IEEE 2-column US-Letter style using IEEE Conference templates
(www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html) and submitted as PDF via EDAS at:
http://edas.info/19419. Papers exceeding these limits, multiple submissions elsewhere, and self-plagiarized
papers will be rejected. All submitted papers will be subject to a peer-review process. Accepted and presented
papers will be published in the SEC-SDN 2015 Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore®.
