Beacon’s Week of Prayer
5th to 11th Jan2015
Hebrews 3:1-2 says
“Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling,
consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,
who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also
was faithful in all God's house. ”
We are all familiar with the phrase “Taking your eye off the
ball”, and for Christians, taking your eyes off Jesus means
much the same thing. We have the opportunity to come together as a whole church and spend some time fixing our eyes
on Jesus, considering who He is and what He has done
(Hebrews 1 to 2) so that we will stay in His will, listen to His
voice and obey Him when he calls (Hebrews 3).
Let us join together and come back to the feet of Jesus in
worship, adoration and praise to give Him his due, know His
love and pour out our hearts to Him as we begin 2015.
We will meet every day from 7.30pm and come together to
celebrate all together with just one service on Sunday the
11th January 2015.
We will also meet on Friday the 15th at 10.30am
10
In 2015 we plan once again to close the Soho Road & proclaim Jesus as Lord
through the Walk of Witness. One way you can support this is by purchasing a TShirt. Forms are available to order your size and colour or you can use this one.

Why is Beacon here?
Beacon Church is here to show and to tell our community the
good news of Jesus and to build and nurture the body so each
one is ready, willing and able to take on this task.
We began in 1987 as a union of three smaller churches with a vision
to be a ‘Beacon’ of the good news of Jesus, shining from the top of the
hill to Handsworth.
We believe God has said to us quite clearly that we are to Go, be fruitful and multiply and we seek to work this out in each area of life.
Go on...Join in and see the benefit of being in God’s family!
We meet in small groups each week for prayer and fellowship and just to enjoy one
another’s company! In our groups we are learning how to reach out together in mission. You
will be welcome at any of our groups:
