Boys NPL and Girls Trials at Brisbane Olympic FC
for Season 2015
Brisbane Olympic Football Club’s aim is to develop the next generation of
Socceroos and Matildas via the best training program and competition guiding
players to grow as footballers. The club fields teams in the top tier of Football
Federation Australia’s junior development competition, the National Premier
League.

We are keen to continue playing a leading role in Queensland’s player
development as our club has provided numerous players to state
representative teams in 2014 and helped footballers join the young Joey’s
National Team and play A-League football.

Our motto “Passion and Unity” speaks for itself and it is complemented by
professional full time coaches, coaching directors and excellent facilities.

Identification process
Brisbane Olympic FC identifies future players by working with our region’s
football clubs and by developing our own talent via our MiniRoos, Komodo
and SAP programs. Trials also offer other players an opportunity to showcase
their abilities.
!
The ID process allows coaches to identify talented footballers who
demonstrate the potential to develop the consistent ability to select and
execute the correct football action for the relevant game situations. Beside
decision making and technical skills, our coaching staff are also looking for
personal qualities such as commitment, coachability, resilience and emotional
control.

We offer five trial nights in each age group and further trainings with the team
if required. The trials are conducted by an experienced coaching panel that
will assess each player.

Brisbane Olympic FC will select 16 players (including a goalkeeper) plus 7
shadow players (which will include a reserve goalkeeper) in each boys and
girls age group for Season 2015. Brisbane Olympic FC reserves the right to
leave vacant positions of suitable qualified players are not available.

Please note:
Club DOCs / School Football Directors can also recommend players to
participate in trials. Registration for trials closes on 26th of September.
A submission of an expression of interest does not necessarily mean an
automatic trial opportunity. Confirmation is due on 29th of September by
our club officials.

U12 Boys
Talent ID days will be on Sunday 24th & 7th of September between 2:00pm
and 4:00pm.
Location: Goodwin Park, Yeronga
Cost: Free
A group of selected players will be invited for additional U12 trainings and
games in September, October and early November (dates: TBA).

U13-U20 Boys and Girls*
• Trialists receive acceptance letter to take part at trials by 29th of
September and trials commence in October.
• Current Brisbane Olympic FC NPL players will be advised between
15th and 19th of September at their assessment interview, if they are
retained or asked to re-trial. Acceptance of retain/re-trial has to be
indicated by 26th of September 2014 and first payment of registration
has to be made by retained players by 10th October. Off-season
training for retained players starts in October. Furthermore, retained
players have to take part in all trial trainings/games.
• Trial days will occur between the 7th of October and 6th of November
(see detailed trial schedule below).

Important Dates for Trial registration & Confirmation:
Registration for trials: between 21st August and 26th of September
Confirmation of acceptance of position by retained players: 26th of September
Confirmation of trial participation by the club for new trialists: 29th of
September
Brisbane Olympic FC reserves the right to reduce the trial squad after the
completion of each trial session.

Squad nomination:
U12 squad on 3rd of November
U13-U16 on 31st of October;
U18-20 on 7th of November.
Brisbane Olympic FC reserves the right to delay the final team lists if more
training/trial is required.

Acceptance of the position, registration and first payment for successful
applicant has to be made by the 11th and 12th of November when Brisbane
Olympic FC holds an information night for all NPL players who were offered
and accepted their position for our 2015 program.

NPL fees in 2015 will be published on olympicfc.net.au website in September
TBA.
