DIN/SWE01 Name : _____________________________________ Form : _________________ Sweden Football Tour – from 11th – 18th July 2015 Dear Parents, Once again the College are planning to return to Gothenburg, Sweden to take part in the superb Gothia World Youth Football Cup in 2015. This gives students at the College the opportunity to gain a fantastic cultural experience, whilst taking part in the World’s biggest team sporting event – 38,000 participants, more than the Olympics and Paralympics put together! It is a great cultural and learning experience, with students meeting young people from all over the World, brought together through the medium of sport. In the 2014 Gothia Cup, over 1,660 teams came from 73 nations worldwide. It will be South Dartmoor’s 13th consecutive appearance at the Gothia Cup. The cost of a place on the South Dartmoor trip to participate in the Gothia World Youth Football Cup 2015, including all travel, accommodation, meals and Gothia Participant card has been held at £575. Payments will be divided monthly over the next year to make it possible for as many students as possible to attend. Students will also be expected to participate in some additional fund raising activities which will mean we can keep the cost to the £595 per head for the actual tour – this includes all travel, plus accommodation and meals in Sweden. To guarantee your son a place in South Dartmoor’s tour party to Sweden 2015 you must complete and return the attached booking slip to Mr Richard Hill in the PE office, plus your non-refundable deposit payment of £100 (by cheque made payable to SDCC or by Parentpay). Please try to do this as soon as possible, as in September letters will be distributed to all boys in years 7, 8, 9 and 10, and numbers will be secured upon receipt of both Booking Slip and Deposit Payment.
