澳门威尼斯人团队举行欢乐周年晚宴
在12月3日至4日，铁岭市委副书记、代市长孙轶
率领该市经贸代表团访问新昌总部，与新昌主席兼
行政总裁王英伟博士和执行董事蔡健鸿会面。会面
中，双方就星悦南岸项目加深沟通交流，推动项目
建设。孙轶指出，星悦南岸项目是铁岭现代服务业
发展的重点项目，为铁岭发展添上了浓墨重彩的一
笔，市委市政府将全力支持项目建设与发展。
The delegation also conducted site visits at Hsin Chong’s projects including XRL
Contract 810B in West Kowloon and Stonecutters Bridge in the New Territories. They
were also introduced to Hsin Chong’s construction business in Hong Kong, Macau
and the Chinese Mainland through project presentations.
其后，代表团亦实地视察了新昌的工程，例如西
九龙的高铁建造合约编号810B和新界的昂船洲大
桥。他们还透过项目简报会，了解新昌在香港、澳
门和中国内地的建造业务。
Dr. Wong expressed his gratitude to the Tieling government for supporting the La Viva
project. He noted that both parties are committed to Tieling’s long-term development.
The delegation’s visit coincided with Hsin Chong’s 75th anniversary dinner, and the
officials’ attendance was warmly welcomed by our colleagues.
铁岭政府大力支持星悦南岸项目，王英伟博士对此

From 3 to 4 December, Mr. Sun Yi, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee
and acting mayor of Tieling Municipal People’s Government, led an economic and
trade delegation on an official visit to Hsin Chong headquarters. During the productive
visit, the delegation met with Chairman and CEO Dr. Wilfred Wong Ying-wai and
Executive Director Mr. Joseph Choi Kin-hung. Mr. Yi recognised the importance of La
Viva project to Tieling’s service industry development, and expressed the government’s
support for the project.

For three consecutive years, Hsin Chong has served as a gold sponsor of MIPIM Asia, a property leaders summit for Asia Pacific that this year
took place from 2 to 3 December in Hong Kong. Hsin Chong Chairman and CEO Dr. Wilfred Wong Ying-wai was invited as one of the speakers
in the “Meet the Chairmen” forum, where Dr. Wong and four other property and investment industry leaders discussed trends and prospects in
2015. In addition, the Group hosted a project briefing session on 2 December, showcasing Hsin Chong’s La Viva project and the newly-acquired
property project in Foshan. Guests were deeply impressed by the design and planning of these projects.
MIPIM Asia examines retail real estate trends, projects and opportunities. This year’s theme, ‘Bridging the East and the West for Global Real
Estate’, drew participants from across Asia.

New HKIE Headquarters

Hsin Chong recently donated HK$800,000 to the Hong Kong Institution of
Engineers (HKIE) for its expanded headquarters in Island Beverly, Causeway
Bay. Hsin Chong’s donation will enable the HKIE to provide new meeting and
seminar facilities for its members, thus broadening the organisation’s professional
capabilities.
In gratitude for the generous support, HKIE has presented Hsin Chong the right
to name one new HKIE meeting room at the expanded premises. Hsin Chong
is delighted to meaningfully contribute to the betterment of Hong Kong’s leading
professional engineering body.
新昌捐赠800,000港元予香港工程师学会，以资助其扩张位于铜锣湾金百利的
总部，为会员提供全新的会议和讲座设施，从而扩阔该学会的专业规模。

TV Series Celebrating SAR’s 15th Anniversary
澳门15周年电视系列记载新昌成就
Hsin Chong’s contributions to Macau were featured in a televised documentary titled
“Macau Macau” that aired on CNC World. The documentary debuted on 1 December at a
special premiere held at The Venetian Macao and was broadcast in over 70 countries from
18 December. Supported by the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the
Macao S.A.R. and the Macau Special Administrative Region, the documentary was put
together to celebrate the Macau S.A.R.’s 15th anniversary and thus chronicles Macau’s
major developments in the 15 years since Macau transferred to Chinese sovereignty.
由中国新华电视制作的澳门电视纪录片《澳门
澳门》，播放了新昌在澳门的贡献。纪录片于
12月1日在澳门威尼斯人举行首映礼，并从12月
18日起在超过70个国家播放。为庆祝澳门特别
行政区成立15周年，纪录片获中央人民政府驻
澳门特别行政区联络办公室和澳门特别行政区
全力支持，记载澳门回归15年以来的主要发展。
Hsin Chong was invited to be interviewed on the Group’s achievements and influential role
in Macau’s construction industry. Chairman and CEO Dr. Wilfred Wong Ying-wai, Director
Mr. Augustine Tang and other senior colleagues shared their observations. Hsin Chong
was deeply grateful that the Group’s extensive efforts in Macau were shared in such a
high-profile, complimentary manner.

On 8 October, a ceremony was held to celebrate the topping out of a new building that Hsin Chong
constructed at Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital. Mr. Christopher Tang Sik-ming, project director, attended the
ceremony and noted, “We have basically completed the construction of the exterior wall structure and are
installing the curtain wall.” He added, “I’m confident that with contributions from Hsin Chong’s subsidiaries
– Hsin Chong Aster and ISP division – projects like this can be completed more efficiently and on schedule
to the client’s satisfaction.”
Hsin Chong has formed a new subsidiary named Hsin Chong abp Company Limited
(“Hsin Chong abp”) in partnership with Aluminium Building Products Asia Limited (“ABP”).
Combining ABP’s extensive experience and strong track record in Taiwan and the Chinese
mainland with that of Hsin Chong’s in management and coordination, the subsidiary aims
to provide holistic services, from engineering, procurement, production to installation, for
quality façade products and expand into curtain walling, cladding and related products.
It is expected that a natural synergy between the two reputable companies will generate
good results in light of the Hong Kong market’s increasing demand and potential.
The new Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital building covers an extensive scope of works in the 27-storey
block, comprising general and specialist outpatient departments, operating theatres, specialty centres,
various clinical departments, an auditorium and parking facilities. Hsin Chong Aster is responsible
for building services installation, including MVAC, electrical and fire services as well as plumbing
and drainage systems, and ISP division oversees fitting-out works for certain project areas.

统、消防设施以及供水及排水系统，而室内装饰及特殊项目部则参与项目特定范围的装饰
工程。
Hsin Chong abp recently won its first project – the design, supply and installation of a
curtain wall system for a flagship retail store at 22-24 Russell Street in Causeway Bay.
The system comprises steel mullions, steel spiders, 19mm clear tempered glass and
aluminum cladding. Works commenced on 16 October, and the contract period will run
to summer 2015.
新昌与华德铝业股份有限公司合作成立附属公司新昌华德有限公司。该附属公司
结合华德在台湾和中国内地的广泛经验和优秀往绩，以及新昌的管理和统筹优

Culminating an eventful year in which La Viva unveiled its lifestyle centre and residential
clubhouse while moving closer to phase one completion of its residential development
and the opening of its commercial outlets and water world complex, Hsin Chong won
the ‘Influencing China Awards – Leading Enterprises of Industries Award’ from Wen Wei
Po on 4 December. The honour recognises the Group’s outstanding achievements in the
construction and property industry in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
2014年，新昌旗下星悦南岸项目表现亮丽，展示
中心和住客会所已完美展现，一期住宅将陆续落
成，商业区域和水上乐园亦即将开幕。与此同时，
新昌於12月4日获文汇报颁发「影响中国十大杰出
行业龙头企业」大奖，对集团在香港和中国内地建
造及房地产界的优秀表现进行表彰。
La Viva is Hsin Chong’s first large-scale integrated urbanisation project in the Chinese
mainland. As the most multifaceted living destination in northeast China, it is located in
Tieling New Town, heart of the Greater Shenyang Economic Region.

Designed by the world-renowned firm Hassell Limited, the La Viva
Grand Park residential clubhouse was completed in October 2014
and quickly earned praise. It is a unique experience as residents
enjoy private access to a multifunctional hub surrounded by 30,000
square metres of lush greenery.

Covering 5,000 square metres, the clubhouse features different
kinds of leisure facilities that combine to offer a stylish and modern
living experience. Facilities include a heated and covered swimming
pool, a bowling alley, a golf course simulator, a multifunctional
gym room, a yoga studio, a billiards room, a chess room, themed
KTV rooms and a bar area. Parents will appreciate the two-storey
children’s play zone as their children can easily spend half day
there. A specially-designed reading corner and music rooms also
enable children to learn and play at the same time.
Construction on phase one of the residential development is
progressing on schedule. It comprises 16 high-rise residential
towers and 22 low-rise residential towers that in total yield a total
saleable area of 340,000 square metres.

As for the commercial side of La Viva, Aqua Wave Water Park is one of the key
components of the unparalleled La Viva experience and coming along smoothly.
Created by the world-renowned Canadian planning and design firm Forrec Ltd, it
will be the first year-round water recreation facility in China’s booming northeast
region.
The 30,000-square-metre Mediterranean-themed water park includes the world’s
first super-weightless double-horn slides with six different high-speed turning and
vertical slides. It offers China’s first snorkelling pool and double artificial surfing
pool as well as magnificent water shows, which will bring diverse visual delights for
visitors. The water park also includes water facilities geared towards all age groups,
serving as a great travelling destination for the whole family.
Aqua Wave Water Park meets globally-recognised benchmarks in terms of
environmental sensitivity, facilities and safety. Opening in 2015, the water park will
present a highly desired water entertainment experience for all.

Garfield Lands at Beijing New Times Plaza

Building on its unprecedented achievements at La Viva, the Group intends
to further expand its property portfolio. “We are moving in two directions,”
Dr. Wong explained. “One is to invest in large-scale urbanisation projects
in second-and third-tier cities. The other is to invest in prime properties
in first-tier cities. Together these efforts can bring long-term and stable
returns for the Group, further enhancing our asset values.”
As just one example of Hsin Chong’s initiative in first-tier cities, New Times
Plaza is a commercial development in Beijing comprising a 15-storey
above-ground structure and a three-storey basement, encompassing a
shopping mall and a total of 168 SOHO units.
To further strengthen the mall’s retail offerings, the Group held a fullfledged Garfield-themed campaign from September to October 2014
displaying a six-metre version of the beloved cartoon character and
70 other Garfield characters throughout the mall and its open piazza.
Featuring thrilling performances and fun-filled events, the celebration
sparked strong enthusiasm among customers and residents in the
area. New Times Plaza will engage in other dynamic activities to keep
enhancing shoppers’ experience.

新昌获「香港绿色企业大奖2014」两项殊荣
In December, Hsin Chong won two awards at the Hong Kong Green Awards 2014 in
recognition of its safety and environmentally friendly practices. Hsin Chong Construction
Company Limited won a bronze-level Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Award,
and Hsin Chong’s joint venture with Samsung earned a gold-level Green Management
Award for project management.
The EHS Award resulted from a comprehensive team effort by Hsin Chong. From the
Group’s top management to colleagues, subcontractors and workers, steps were
taken to ensure that safety practices such as using cordless-powered hand-tools and
environmental practices such as using solar panels for lighting were implemented.
Mr. K S Lee, Hsin Chong’s Group HSEQ Manager, explained, “Our initiatives have also
included workshops on temporary works safety, rigging safety and crane safety. In
addition, we conduct various in-house sessions that promote environmental training
and good health. We strongly believe that our efforts are worthwhile and paying off.”
As just one example of the Group’s innovation, a mobile device application was
launched in early 2013 for an MTRC project, adopted by HA projects and extended to
a private project. The app has enhanced the efficiency of tracing employees’ records
and accelerated the rate of notification for frontline supervisors and management while
reducing paper usage. Another recognised initiative was the Group’s use of Baduanjin
qigong to help site staff members and workers stay limber.
The Green Management Award – Project Management recognised the Samsung-Hsin
Chong Joint Venture for the Shatin to Central Link project, also known as SCL Contract
1109, which involves stations and tunnel works for the Kowloon City section of the
infrastructure project.
The project’s achievement of a Wastewi$e Label for waste reduction, recycling and
procurement helped to single out the team from other candidates. Other project highlights
included air pollution control, water pollution control,
waste management, and efficient energy
management.

颁奖礼中获颁两项殊荣，表扬集团在安全及
环保方面出色的表现。新昌营造厂有限公司
赢得「超卓环保安全健康奖」铜奖，「三星 —
新昌合营」更获得「优越环保管理奖」
金奖。
新昌能够获得此项殊荣全赖团队通力合作。
由集团高级管理层、同事、分包商到工人，均
致力确保工作既安全又环保，措施包括采用无
线工具供电和太阳能电池板照明。
集团健康、安全、环保及质量经理李锦成表
示：「我们的措施还包括举办工作坊，讲解临
时工作、吊运和起重工作的安全。此外，我们
进行了多次内部会议，推广环保培训，促进员
工健康。我们坚信付出将会有所回报。」
集团创意十足， 2013年上半年就为一个港
铁项目推出了手机应用程式，这款应用程式

On 12 November, Hsin Chong claimed top awards given jointly
by the Hong Kong Construction Association, Development
Bureau, Environmental Protection Department, Hong Kong
Green Building Council and the Real Estate Developers
Association of Hong Kong for outstanding environmental
performance. The Group won the Innovative Environmental
Award – Grand Award for its Kau To Shan project, while
Hsin Chong Construction Company Limited and Hsin Chong
Construction (Asia) Limited each won Environmental Merit
Awards for sustainable construction.
11月12日，新昌凭借优秀的环保表现，获香港建造商会、发展局、
环境保护署、香港绿色建筑议会、香港地产建设商会联合颁发最高
殊荣。集团的九肚山项目荣获「环保创新奖─金奖」，新昌营造厂

Hsin Chong was singled out for its guided suspended working
platform at the large-scale luxury residential development in
Kau To Shan, Sha Tin. By replacing conventional bamboo
scaffolding with a mechanised guided suspended working
platform for lift installation, carbon footprint can be reduced.
The Grand Award recognises contracting organisations that
successfully developed and applied an innovative technology
or process to improve their environmental performance.
Multiple Industry Accolades for Safety and Health Practices

On 5 September, Hsin Chong Construction Company Limited won a Safety Performance
Award in the construction category of the 13th Hong Kong Occupational Safety and
Health Award forum and award presentation. The annually-conferred OSH awards
recognise outstanding safety and health achievements and help improve companies’
competitiveness and productivity. To win the award, entrants must prove a good safety
record over the past year.
Also in September, Hsin Chong earned recognition at the Lighthouse Club Safety Awards
2014. Mr. Chris Cheung Wing-cheong, Project Safety Manager of SCL
Contract 1109 was named first runner-up for a Safety Professional Award
2014, and Mr. Hui Tin-shing, Senior Site Supervisor of
the Au Tau project, was awarded a certificate of merit
for a Safe Foreman Award 2014.
第13届「香港职业安全健康大奖」分享会暨
颁奖典礼在9月5日举行，新昌营造厂有限公
司凭出色表现，获得建造业组的「安全表现
大奖」。一年一度的「职业安全健康大奖」
旨在表扬安全和健康方面的杰出成就，以助
企业提升竞争力和生产力。参赛单位必须在
过去一年维持良好的安全纪录，方能获奖。
同月，新昌在香港明建会安全奖2014中，再
次获得认同。沙中线合约编号1109号项目
安全经理张荣昌在「安全专业人员奖2014」
中获得亚军，而负责元朗凹头项目的高级
地盘监工许天城则获颁「安全管工奖2014」
优良状。
沙中线项目在减废、回收和采购方面表现卓
越，获得减废标志，让团队在其他参赛者中
脱颖而出。项目其他优秀表现还包括空气污
染管制、水污染管制、废料管理和有效能源

Fun-filled Activities Help
Strengthen Hsin Chong Family
精彩活动凝聚新昌家庭
At Hsin Chong, colleagues and their loved ones are more than
people with whom we share a workplace – they are family. The
past few months have brought an array of fun activities that allowed
Hsin Chong colleagues and their family members to bond with one
another.
On 10 October, for example, Hsin Chong held its first Quarterly Staff
Birthday Party during which more than 60 colleagues with birthdays
between October and December were celebrated. In November,
an evening walkathon called Orbis Moonwalkers 2014 and Oxfam
Trailwalker took place to raise funds for charitable organizations. On
23 November, the Group sponsored an Autumn BBQ cum Family
Fun Day in Tuen Mun attended by more than 200 people. Capping
off the Hong Kong festivities in 2014, the annual Christmas Party took
place on 19 December.
Colleagues in Macau had a variety of fun activities as well. A Fireworks
BBQ Buffet dinner was held in September as the Macau government
celebrated the enclave’s sovereignty, including over 200 colleagues
and their families from the Venetian project. Other BBQ was held
for our Macau Venetian team on 20 November. Finally, the Macau
International Marathon inspired the participation of over 30 members
of our Macau team on 7 December.

在新昌，员工除了一起共事外，更是一个大
家庭，这份连系更伸延到他们的家人。过去
数月，新昌举办了一连串精彩活动，让员工
和家人增进感情。
新昌季度生日之星大派对在10月10日首次
举行，逾60名在10月至12月出生的员工共
庆生辰。奥比斯盲侠行和乐施会毅行者于
11月举行，为慈善机构筹款。11月23日，
集团赞助秋季烧烤暨家庭同乐日，活动选址
屯门，逾200人参与。最后，年度圣诞派对
在12月19日举行，为2014年作结。
澳门同事亦参与了一系列精彩活动。为庆祝
澳门回归纪念，澳门员工于9月齐聚露天广
场烟花节，享用烧烤自助餐，当中包括逾
200名威尼斯人项目员工和其家人。另外，
澳门威尼斯人项目团队烧烤晚会在11月20日
举行。此外，澳门国际马拉松在 12月 7日
举行，共约有30名新昌澳门团队成员参与。

A theme of ‘Hsin Chong family’ took centre stage at Hsin Chong’s 75th anniversary
dinner in Hong Kong, held on 3 December at KITEC in Kowloon Bay. The actionpacked programme was eagerly attended.
新昌75周年晚宴在12月3日假九龙湾国际展贸中
心举行，并以「新昌家庭」为主题。当晚活动丰
富精彩，座无虚席。
More than 1,400 colleagues enjoyed various live musical acts as well as dragon
and lion dances rendered by professionals and staff. A Hsin Chong band performed
classic songs symbolising how the company has grown with Hong Kong, and a
memorable Hsin Chong Family Dance was staged. Later many joined the popular
young singer Fred Cheng in a rousing rendition of ‘happy birthday’ for the company’s
75th anniversary.
超过1,400名员工欣赏了多个现场音乐表演，更有
专业人员和员工舞龙舞狮助兴。新昌乐队演唱了
多首经典金曲，标志公司与香港共同成长，同场
亦有令人难忘的新昌家庭舞蹈表演。其后，大家
更与年轻流行歌手郑俊弘一同高歌，以一曲「生
日快乐」祝贺公司成立75周年。
The dinner was graced by the presence of Mr. Sun Yi, acting mayor of Tieling
Municipal People’s Government, and a number of senior officials from Tieling
government where the La Viva project has been developing. That night, Mr. Sun
also joined the eye-dotting ceremony capping the dragon and lion dance. The
festive evening concluded with special 75th anniversary cash prizes and other
fabulous gifts for lucky winners.
当晚，铁岭市人民政府代市长孙轶及数名铁岭市
政府高级官员赏面出席晚宴，铁岭市正是星悦南
岸项目的所在地。孙轶先生参与「点睛」仪式。
当晚，欢乐的晚上最后以特别的75周年现金奖和

The Hsin Chong Macau Venetian team held its annual celebration at
Macau Tower on 4 December. The spirited team drew over 650 attendees
at the annual dinner marked by a jubilant and genuinely happy vibe.
12月4日，充满活力的新昌澳门威尼斯人团队在
澳门旅游塔举行团年晚宴，共有650人出席，众人
共度了喜庆欢乐的时光。
The evening featured plenty of lively moments such as face painting, a
dance performance by management, and a traditional Philippine dance
performance by colleagues that echoed the festive tone. Other highlights
included singing shows and a traditional Chinese face-changing
performance with colourful masks. The evening also showcased a music
video put together by more than 200 staff, many of whom starred in
the dance-themed production set to a commercially popular song called
‘Happy’.
当晚节目多姿多采，除了脸部彩绘外，还有
管理层表演舞蹈以及同事们合力表演菲律宾
节日舞蹈，气氛热情高涨。其他精彩节目包
括歌唱演出和丰富多彩的中国传统变脸表演
等。此外，当晚还播出有超过 200名员工参与
的音乐影片，同事们在片中配合商业流行曲
