Surgery is comprised of 10 active surgeons involved in outpatient/inpatient reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, diabetic wound care
and surgery as well as forefoot trauma. The position requires the individual
to participate in general Podiatry call in rotation with the 5 current members
of the hospital section. Participation in the outpatient Diabetic Limb
Salvage Clinic is also required.
Candidates should be committed to cultivating an academic surgical
practice with involvement in resident teaching and clinical and/or basic
science research. A strong interest in the care of persons with diabetic
complications of the lower extremity is desirable. Interest in research and
publication is also desired.
Qualifications include a DPM, a three-year postgraduate residency program,
board qualification/certification with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery
and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

ON – West Parry Sound Health Centre provides
a wide range of hospital and community services
to the area’s 21,000 permanent residents and
100,000+ summer residents. Our health centre
includes a 70-bed acute care facility with a sixbed ICU, and two state-of-the-art OR suites. Approximately 3,500 surgical procedures are performed annually. Diagnostics on site include 24/7
laboratory/DI (including CT), as well as weekday
general ultrasound, cardiovascular ultrasound including stress echo. WPSHC is seeking expressions
of interest for general medicine internist. The Internal
Medicine Service currently staffs a closed ICU, and
provides consultative services to the emergency
room and general inpatient wards. Specialists at
WPSHC see a broad spectrum of clinical presentations, and have good subspecialist/tertiary support
from Health Sciences North, as well as other colleagues further south. WPSHC is also looking for
a full-time hospitalist to work with local family physicians to provide comprehensive inpatient care.
Our hospitalists function as MRP for all admitted

The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) has a long history of recognized excellence in providing diagnostic laboratory
services to the Hamilton Hospitals, Central West Ontario and beyond, with strong administrative leadership, commitment to quality of care,
teaching and to innovation through basic and collaborative research. The Regional Program has moved forward consolidation of each
laboratory discipline to a single site serving both inpatients and outpatients, with an operating budget of close to $70 million, performing over
10 million tests annually and a workforce of approximately 700 staff members. Fifty laboratory physicians and scientists are full time McMaster
University faculty with over 200 publications in 2013. The Laboratory campuses offer outstanding training opportunities for numerous
