This was the regular Boxing day social fun family day at the golf club. Families golfers and none golfers participated in the six hole inside the wall scramble golf afternoon. There were white elephant gifts for all the young participants. As all those that turned out were winners. Groups of families competing in the Boxing Day social golf Tennents Trophy, Bogey/Par Friday 02/01/2015. Mixed. The first competition of the New Year 2015, and the numbers were better than expected considering that a great number of the regular are just returning back from their seasonal leave. The conditions were perfect for golf with temperatures in the mid-twenties and a light breeze blowing across the course. The top three positions went to our more seasoned golfers. The format was Par/Bogey. Our El Capitano Raymond Massie carded a gross 73 (+5) and it was good enough for third place. The top two placing’s were both locked on (+6). Hennie Kruger lost the count back to Competition Secretary, Hisham Al Hadi, who also finished on (+6) and the winner on count back.
