Care for Your Baby- Our nursery is staffed and open on Sun. from 8:15 - 12:30. Children
2 and under are welcome in the nursery (East preschool room upstairs)

During the 8:30 a.m. Worship service, child care is provided for children up through age 6
in the nursery (which is in the East preschool room upstairs).
At 10:00 a.m.– Preschool ages through Grade 2 meet downstairs in the East side Sun.
School rm; Grades 3 - 5 meet in the small room off the large Sun. School rm downstairs.
At 11:00 a.m. - Children are asked to remain in the sanctuary until the “Children’s
Message” before going to classes. Preschool ages 3, 4, 5 and Kindergarten meet
downstairs in the West side Sunday School room. Gr. 1 & 2 meet in the East side
Sunday School room and Gr. 3 - 5 meet in the Library.
Children’s Worship Bags-Worship aids are offered to your young worshiper. Take a bag
from the Crayon Tree to your pew and return it at the end of the service.

This DVD series captures live and unscripted conversations with a group of non
Christians and Timothy Keller as they dialogue about the group’s doubts and objections to
Christianity. Timothy Keller brings together faith and intellect, theology and popular
culture, modern-day objections and historic Christian beliefs. Bonnie Pattison, PhD,
facilitates this series and expands answers utilizing a Biblical framework and context.
Particularly relevant and valuable is her background in Cultural Christianity that will give
additional in-depth insights and perspectives to the discussions.

Deacons - The Deacon’s monthly meeting has been
changed for January. The meeting will be on
Tuesday, January 13 instead of January 20. Please
make a note of it.
Annual Reports
This is to advise all Committees, Session and staff
that Annual Reports are due via email to Melody by
Monday, January 5.
Pray for Patrick and Heidi Rosendall, working with
the Wycliffe Bible Translators in Nigeria. Pray for
everyone who works to bring God's word to all the
people of the world in their own language.
Finance - Envelopes
2015 Giving envelopes are ready for pick up in the
ramp hallway.
Per Capita
The per capita amount for 2015 is $31.23 for every
confirmed member. Through per capita, Presbytery
of Chicago churches:
•help congregations with pastoral transitions
•train and support interim ministers
•resolve congregational conflicts
•care for ministers and Christian Educators and their
families
•help prepare people for service as ordained
ministers
Officer Training - Sat. Jan. 10 9:00 am at the
Pattison’s
If you are a newly elected officer or an officer
beginning a second term, please come to this
training. A Continental breakfast will be served. All
new officers will be installed/ordained on Sunday,
January 11.
PADS NEEDS: underwear, gloves and hats. Place in
bin next to mission bulletin board. The next PADS
night is January 13-14. Helpers are needed for dinner
and breakfast shifts. This local mission to the
homeless continues year round - your help would be
appreciated at First Church of Lombard or at other

Stephen Ministry - You Can’t Drive Anymore The
church steps are getting to be too much for you.
You just can’t get the cap off the medicine bottle.
You feel frustrated because you can’t do these
things, and you’ve always been very independent.
A Stephen Minister would like to listen. To find out

The Annual Meeting and Brunch is scheduled for
Sunday, January 25. Worship will be a single
service at 10:00 a.m. with the meeting and brunch
following.
CPC Christian Literature Recycling Project
Please place your donated (new or used) Bibles,
Bible Study Materials, Magazines, Novels, etc.) in
the box in the hallway and Love Packages will see
that they get new homes with Christians in faraway
countries who can really use them. If you need

CRUX - Winter Retreat - Fri-Sun Jan. 23-25
The high schoolers will be traveling to East Troy
Wisconsin to Camp Timber-lee. Youth encounter
Christ through many outdoor activities, speakers
and bands. See Eric for more information.
2015 Women’s Retreat - January 31 - February 1
The Women’s Retreat will be held at Techny Towers
Retreat & Conference Center in Techny, Illinois
(approx. 40 min. away). Cost is $110 for a Double
Room & $125 for a Single Room. See Susan for
more information. Retreat includes: 3 meals, one
night accommodations, choice of double room
or single, retreat materials and keynote speaker

Faith and Fellowship Night at the Wolves
Hockey Game - Sat. Feb. 21 7:00 pm Tickets are

There is a pregame kids fun fest from 5 - 7 pm and
then a live concert follows the game.
