All entries to be printed on entry form enclosed.
Entry fees must accompany the entry form otherwise the entry will not be accepted.
Entry forms must be completed and signed personally by the exhibitor who will agree to comply with and
submit to the rules of the show.
75% of Entry fees will be refunded on presentation of a Doctors or Veterinary Certificate
All entries (This does not include Harness Entries) to be registered with The Welsh Pony and Cob Society of
New Zealand (Inc). in either the Purebred Stud Book or the Partbred Register and in the case of foals, to be
eligible for registration.
In all classes where applicable the name of the pony, date of birth, sire, and dam and stud book number shall be
given on the entry form.

Those stallions and geldings over three (3) years with temporary registration numbers will not be eligible for entry.

Ponies/cobs registered as geldings must be gelded.
Stallions must be fully registered and not on temporary colt papers.
All stallions and colts two years and over must wear a bit.
All stallions and colts one year and over must be stabled and must not be tied to floats etc.
Stallions may not be entered in the lead rein or ridden classes.
Foals under three weeks of age must not be exhibited.
Foals to be led at all times by a separate handler.

Registered Welsh are not to be clipped.
When an animal has been entered and catalogued in any class the substitution of another animal will not be
permitted unless permission has been approved by the Committee before the show day
Entrants not present at the beginning of the class will not be admitted for judging
The judge’s decision will be final.
The responsibility for accuracy of the description or pedigree and for the eligibility of animals completely rests
with the exhibitor.
Ponies/Cobs must be three years and over in ridden and lead rein classes.
The committee at its absolute discretion may refuse an entry or cancel any entry already accepted or decline to
admit to the show grounds or remove any animal, exhibitor or person from the said grounds.
The committee will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be caused to or suffered by
any animal, person or property.
The committee reserves the right to make any alterations to the program or postpone or cancel the show as it sees fit.
The committee reserves the right to amalgamate or divide any class where necessary.
Purebred ponies must not be plaited in the Led and Ridden Sections.
All JUNIOR HANDLERS seven years and under MUST AT ALL TIMES have an Adult supervisor
accompany them who is not exhibiting in the same class

Lead Rein Riders must be at least 3 (three) years of age.

Safety Standard Approved Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted and by all Junior Handlers

In the Lead Rein Classes the Ponies ‘Lead Rein’ must be attached to the Cavesson Noseband ONLY

Classes WILL NOT be delayed if the exhibitor has two classes running concurrently.

PROTESTS. All protests must be in writing and be lodged with the Secretary within 10 minutes and
must be accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be refunded only if the protest is upheld.
RULES:
Under NZ Occupation Health & Safety it is the responsibility of EVERYONE on the grounds to ensure these
rules are adhered to. The committee reserves the right to deal with anyone breaching these rules, which may
include the removal from the grounds.
The Committee reserves the right to make any alterations to the program or to postpone or cancel the day as it sees
fit. Cancellation will be broadcast on Classic Hits at 8am.The committee will not be responsible for any
accident, loss or damage that may be caused to or suffered by any exhibit, exhibitor or spectator, and it shall be
a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the committee indemnified against any claim in respect of
any such accident, loss or damage. All persons and their property enter the grounds at their own risk.
PROTESTS: All protests must be in writing and be lodged with the Secretary on the day within ten minutes
and must be accompanied by a deposit of $20.00 (Twenty dollars) which shall be refunded only if the protest is
upheld. The decision of the protest committee shall be final.
