Georgetown County YMCA Snowflake Swim Meet Date: Saturday, January 24, 2015 Location: Georgetown County YMCA 529 Brown’s Ferry Road Georgetown, SC 29440 Time: Warm-ups from 8:00-9:15 (subject to change) - Georgetown, Sumter 8:15 – 8:45 - Summerville, Beaufort, Hartsville 8:45-9:15 Coaches and Timers meeting at 9:15 am Begin Meet at 9:30 Facility: 6 lane 25 yard pool Rules: Carolina YMCA Swim League operational rules, United States Swimming technical Rules. No glass and food on pool deck. No diving in shallow end. Entries: Entries are to be made with Hy-Tek Team Manager software and e-mailed to [email protected] by 8pm on Monday, January 19, 2015. Please include a word or pdf copy of individual entries and relays by name. To make seeding more consistent and fair to all swimmers, please include a seed time with all individual entries. If the swimmer does not have an existing time, please use a simulated time from practice or an estimated time. Relay teams do not need to have seed times. Host team reserves the right to host split sessions. Entry Fees: Fees will be $4.00 per swimmer. There is no need to mail entry fees but you must pay the fees prior to the meet on Saturday morning. Seeding: All events will be pre-seeded. We will not re-seed events on meet day to accommodate scratches or adds unless a scratch results in a swimmer swimming by themselves. Some events may be combined to encourage competition or to improve the flow of the meet. Volunteers: Please supply a few lane timers. If you have certified officials that would be willing to volunteer please let us know. Concessions: The concession stand will open throughout the meet. All profits benefit the YMCA Wahoo Swim Team. Scoring: Events will be scored to seven places. Individual points are 9,7,6,5,4,3, and 2. Relay points are doubled. Combined events will be scored by age groups. Awards: Place ribbons through 6 places will be awarded. One heat winner for individual events. Ribbons will be mailed after completion of meet. Spectator Seating: Limited seating on the pool deck is available – NO GLASS. Folding chairs welcome. Special Note: We have limited use of the YMCA facility on this day. There will be other Y Member’s using the building. Team seating for swimmers will be in the back hallway Please make sure your swimmers stay in assigned areas.
