Patrons: Freddie Highmore, Jason Isaacs, Sir Derek Jacobi, Danny John-Jules, David Yates On Saturday 30 October at 10.00am the London Children’s Children’s Film Festival opens at the Barbican with a Gala Screening of MOOMINS AND THE COMET CHASE IN 3D (English voice over). The Opening Gala will be attended by Moomins’ fan and children’s author Michael Morpurgo, Morpurgo who will read a favourite extract from Tove Jansson’s original story. Also coming along will be Moomintroll himself! Before the screening starts everyone can tuck into a beautiful Finnish Breakfast prepared with recipes from the Moomins Cookbook published by Self Made Hero and enjoy Moomin themed entertainment, entertainment while in the Make Zone children can drop in throughout the day and make a Moomin. Moomin And due to popular demand, the LCFF has organised a second screening of MOOMINS AND THE COMET CHASE IN 3D (English voice over) on Monday 1 November at 6.00pm. MOOMINS AND THE COMET CHASE IN 3D is directed by Maria Lindberg and features the voices (in order of appearance) of MAX VON SYDOW, ALEXANDER SKARSGARD, STELLAN SKARSGARD, MADS MIKKELSEN, PETER STORMARE and The Comet Song by BJÖRK. Based on Tove Jansson’s book of the same name, Moominvalley is in danger – a cloud of grey dust has covered everything and the sky has turned red. Moomintroll, Sniff and Snufkin set off on a brave journey to find the wise professors who must know what’s happening. The London Children’s Children’s Film Festival, Festival the only international film festival dedicated to children in London, th returns for its 6 year to the Barbican and twelve cinemas from Saturday 30 October to Sunday 7 November.
