By far the most popular potting mix in the Nursery Industry as it is an excellent blend of Composted Pine
Bark and Washed River Sand. A major advantage is it’s low “slumpage” rate, which means it maintains
its open, free draining structure for longer. This is a premium mix also used by major nurseries and
quality bagged potting mix manufacturers. This is an economical way to buy potting mix as 1m3 equals

Aussie Blue is a beautiful, natural looking turf grass very similar to QLD Blue Couch,
with a blue-green color and a soft, lush feel and a fine-medium leaf blade. Aussie
Blue has a tighter leaf and root structure to that of regular QLD Blue Couch.
Ideally suited to the climate of Queensland. Thrives in full sun and is highly tolerant
of heat and humidity. While it is sensitive to drought conditions, it has a rapid
recovery rate. Requires regular maintenance to keep it looking good.
A good performer in the shade and keeps a good winter colour and it can generally
outcompete the weeds once established. Zoysia generally requires less watering &
less mowing than any other commercially grown lawn in Australia, making it by far
the best performing turf all round and a great option for Queensland conditions.

Winter Green Couch

Palmetto is a true eye catcher. It performs well in full sun yet thrives in shaded
areas. It requires only 2-4 hours of direct sunlight. It generally holds winter
colour longer than most other warm season turf varieties. Drought tolerant once
established. It recovers quickly from damage by wear.
Sir Walter has excellent shade tolerance and a rapid growth rate. It has a low dense
thatch growth habit which helps keep weeds out. It is a great all rounder that is easy
to maintain, grows in shade and keeps it’s winter greenness due to the fact that it’s
winter active. It is Australian born and bred for our weather conditions. (Ask about
our great Sir Walter special)
A soft in texture grass, it is lime green in colour when in full sunlight but it’s colour
darkens when Sweet Smother Turf is growing in shade or indeed when fertilised.
One of the most shade tolerant of all turf varieties sold in SEQ, this grass needs a
minimum of 2 to 3 hours of direct sunlight per day or filtered sunlight for a longer
period. Although a broader leaf turf, Sweet Smother wears more like a couch grass.
Wintergreen couch is an attractive turf variety. Like most couch varieties,
Wintergreen is resistant to heavy use and thrives in full sun. This variety does not
do well in shade areas or areas of low temperatures or frost. Exhibits rapid recovery
after stress or injury. It requires minimal fertilisers and minimal maintenance.
