Subject: Enhanced Filter Details
Dear Valued Customer,
HP TippingPoint is pleased to announce Digital Vaccine® (DV) enhanced filter details for new
filters found in the vulnerability and exploit categories. This additional filter information is
available with DV8653 and later.
The enhanced filter details include vulnerability severity, filter severity, application protocols,
false positive indicators and performance impact indicators. The vulnerability and exploit
information is in addition to existing filter details such as filter description, severity and
category. You can view these enhancements by accessing the specific filter information found
on the ThreatLinQ web site at https://threatlinq.tippingpoint.com.
Enhanced filter details are not available for Zero Day Initiative (ZDI), application, and ThreatDV
malware filters entries. Vulnerability and exploit filters introduced in a DV prior to DV 8653 will
be added on a priority basis. To request we add enhanced details for an existing filter, use the
“submit a request” link now available at the bottom of a filter entry on ThreatLinQ.
