The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has slightly cut projections for India's
economic growth to 6.3% for 2015-16 against 6.4% made in October last year, while
retaining the forecast for the current financial year at 5.6%. In its World Economic
Outlook Update, IMF pegged the country's growth rate at 6.5% for 2016-17.

According to global credit rating firm S&P, the size of global bonds issued by Indian
companies could almost double to $ 25 billion within a few years from $ 14 billion in
2014, with a majority of them likely to take place after 2015.

Crompton Greaves has bagged a deal with PT PLN (Perusahaan Listrik Negara)
Indonesia, for the manufacture and supply of 37 units of power transformers. Valued at
USD 26 million (about Rs 156 crore), the power transformers will be installed across
PT PLN's transmission network, in 36 different substations in Sumatra, Java, Bali,
Kalimantan and the Sulawesi islands of Indonesia

Suven Life Sciences has received one product patent from Australia, two product
patents from Japan and one product patent from Hong Kong. The patents correspond
to a new chemical entity (NCE) for treatment of disorders associated with
neurodegenerative diseases. These patents are valid through 2030.

Aurobindo Pharma is recalling 24,816 bottles of Gabapentin capsules used as

Strides Arcolab Limited has entered into a licensing agreement with Gilead Sciences,

Equity Market Roundup: Sensex opened at 28,325. It made an intra-day high of
28,829 and a low of 28,325 before closing 523 points up at 28,785.

Debt Market Roundup: RBI infused Rs 208.58 bn through the Repo window, while Rs
13.85 bn was absorbed under the reverse repo window.
