Wednesday 21 January 2015 EVENING ALL INDIA WEATHER SUMMARY AND FORECAST BULLETIN Significant weather observations ♦ Dense/very dense fog has been observed at many places over East Uttar Pradesh & Bihar; at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh and SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. The visibility (50 m or less) has been recorded at 0830 hours IST of today: Pantnagar, Bareilly, Bahraich, Lucknow, Jhansi, Khajuraho, Fursatganj, Sultanpur, Varanasi, Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Cooch Behar. Main Weather Observations ♦ Rainfall: (From 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today): Light rainfall/thundershower occurred at isolated places over West Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch and Haryana. Weather remained dry over the remaining parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall ( 1 cm or more ) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are Naliya1. ♦ Today, minimum temperatures are below normal by 67°C at a few places over Interior Odisha; by 25°C at most places over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, rest Odisha; at many places over Coastal Odisha; at a few places over Konkan & Goa and at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Interior Karnataka and Telangana. They are above normal by 68°C at many places over Saurashtra & Kutch; at a few places over West Rajasthan; by 25°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, rest Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Gujarat region; at a few places over rest Saurashtra & Kutch, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi; at isolated places over Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Kerala and Tamilnadu. They are nearly normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 2.8°C has been recorded at Fursatganj ( Uttar Pradesh ) in the plains of the country. ♦ Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Low/medium clouds are seen over the rest parts of the country outside Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal.
