∗ On Monday I was fortunately able to go with Y6 to The Mary Rose Exhibion. You would have been so proud of them. They
asked great quesons; moved around the galleries sensibly, full of interest and enthusiasm, learning so much about this
amazing Tudor warship. Thanks to Mr Tucke', Mrs Price, Mrs Lane and Mrs Jones for their preparaon and organisaon here.
∗ Cross curricular dance workshops connued this week thanks to Alex Sears and Tash Lock—children in Years 1 &3 loved them!

∗ Yesterday, sadly we lost our friendly netball matches against St Lawrence; A Team 3-8, B Team 1-3 BUT they played really well
and didn’t lose heart! Thanks for organising this Miss Johnson and to all of the parents who transported and supported so
posively. To lose occasionally can be character building….
∗ The year 1 Wow day today saw all of the children and staff dressed as ‘Wild Things’ to support their learning inspired by
Maurice Sendak’s book ‘Where the Wild Things Are’—great fun.
∗ We are fielding a large cross country team at Reigate Priory tomorrow from 9.00 —do go and support if you can. Thanks to Mrs
Keen and Miss Maclean for organising and a'ending.
∗ Despite my previous requests, there are sll parents entering the school building prior to the beginning of the school day and
making their own way to classrooms to speak to teachers at this busy me of day when teachers are geAng ready to welcome
the children for the day ahead. If you need to speak to your child's class teacher, please speak to a member of the office team
who will be only too happy to assist you and put you in touch with the relevant teacher at the earliest opportunity or pass on a
message. Teachers will not be rude and ignore you, so it puts them in a very embarrassing posion.

This is reminder that we have two Inset days in
January; Thursday 22nd & Friday 23rd.
Ultimate Coaching will be running Sports
Activity Days here. Their flyer can be found on the
website under Clubs/Inset Day Clubs.

PSA on Monday 19th
January at 7.30pm in 5B.

May we please ask that if you have
inadvertently taken home a visitor’s
badge that you return it to the
school office.
This is a reminder for Year 4 parents that
swimming has now started again. Every
week there are some 5 or 6 children who
forget their swimming kit.
Please encourage your child to be responsible for
getting their own swimming kit together on a Sunday
evening and remember to bring it into school on a
Monday morning.
There are still a few clubs with spaces available
for children to join, mainly those run by
external providers:
Constructa Club for KS2 on a Tuesday
Sports for All for KS1 on a Wednesday
German Club for KS2 on a Wednesday
Spanish Club for Year 3,4,& 5 on a Wednesday

CONGRATULATIONS to Luke Shepherd,
Adam Wilkes, Luke Whistlecroft, Henry Moodie and
Suzy Lecoutre who have qualified for the National Biathlon
Championships at the London Aquatics Centre on 28th
March (for girls) and 29th March (for boys).
This is a huge achievement and is a result of their hard work
and effort at the qualifiers last October.

Inconsiderate parking is in the news again this week. Please, please
park in a considerate manner and be polite to our neighbours!

There is still a large amount of lunch money owing. We are now at the end of the
second week of term by which time, lunch money for the first half of the Spring
term should be paid unless you have an agreement to pay weekly. We do not have
the facility to lend people money so please pay promptly.
Long hair must be tied up; the entire head of hair up, off the neck. Far too many
children have hair which is just held back with a hair band. Loose hair encourages
the spread of headlice. Hair decorations/clips/hairbands should be
preferably green, black or brown and preferably not bright pink!
Please also remember that nail polish is not part of school uniform and children
wearing it will be asked to remove it with varnish remover in the school office.
