Meester He spoke about sin and how men see our appearance, but God sees our heart. I thought it was interesting how he said we all have different types of sins but God still judges them the same. Next Week’s Speaker: Pastor Greg Gosnell FROM THE BOARD IN THE COMMUNITY The NICS School Board met on Tuesday evening, January 13. We welcome Jared Callison as a teacher’s aide for the high school. He will be teaching Bible and PE in the afternoons. We are excited to have him join our staff. Due to all the time off last week with the snow and cold, we will be having school on President’s Day, Feb 16. This will leave us with 3 1/3 hours for another late start or early dismissal. Any further time off will need to be made up. The site visit for accreditation has been moved to April 14-16. This was a request by Christian Schools International, not wanting to have to travel to Iowa from Michigan in February. Our site visit chair is Alice Spaanstra. Amy Markham has agreed to help out with grant writing for the school. Thank you, Amy! The basketball team has had a donation of five game basketballs and a portable basketball hoop. Be sure to check it out next time you are at school. We are grateful for the support of our community here in Mason City. Our administrator, Janna Voss, gave a written evaluation of each of the teachers. She plans to return this spring for another round of observations.
