This is a continuation of Basic First Aid and
Survival Skills camp. We will focus more in
depth on navigation, shelters, making and
using traps and snares, identifying local edible
plants, identifying hazards, creating fire by
friction techniques and other alternative
sources. We will also learn how to locate and
disinfect alternate water sources, make basic
tools and make a survival kit for students to
keep. Teams will compete at the end of the
week to test the skills learned during the
course. This camp will involve outdoor walking
and outdoor activities. While not required, it is
highly recommended that campers complete
the Basic First Aid and Survival Skills camp
