The opera also succeeds in depicting how strong a people’s as well as an individual’s need for social and religious identity is permeated by archaic forces and political calculation. Nabucco’s world premiere took place in 1842 at La Scala in Milano and strengthened Verdi’s reputation as the leading opera composer of his generation. 15 Thursday 22 January 2015 08:45 am – 12:15 pm German Classes 12:15 pm – 01:30 pm Lunch Break Begin: 01:30 pm Subject Courses Art History 20th Century Architecture German Film and Literature after 1990 Excursion 01:30 pm – 04:15 pm Meeting point: Notes: 16 Cross-Cultural Communication to be determined Friday-Sunday 23 January – 25 January 2015 NO classes Enjoy your long weekend!
