Bahçeşehir University’s English Preparatory School
has established the English Abroad Program (BESL)
with the aim of giving a select group of students the
opportunity to study English abroad. Created in
2005, the goal of the program is to endow students
with the English skills necessary to pursue studies
in their respective departments by upholding the
“Learn English by Living English” philosophy. In
addition, the program renders autonomous and
resourceful individuals the opportunity to discover
and experience different cultures and embrace a
greater sense of responsibility before embarking
upon their undergraduate studies at Bahçeşehir
University.

And when it comes to sports – there’s nothing like
Toronto! NHL hockey played by the Maple Leafs,
Major League Baseball’s Blue Jays, basketball’s
Raptors of the NBA, and football’s Argonauts
of the CFL, as well as professional lacrosse and
soccer teams. Recreational opportunities abound
in Toronto’s many parks and ravines and along its
numerous walking trails and bike-paths.
Getting around Toronto is easy. With both bus and
subway stops just steps from CES - the Toronto
Transit Commission (T.T.C.) makes it easy to move
around Toronto and explore its rich variety of
neighbourhoods and attractions.
Transportation is very accessible; Toronto has the
T.T.C. subway system and buses, GO trains, Coach
Canada and VIA Rail Canada. Ottawa, the capital
of Canada, is just a 4.5 hour bus ride, Montreal,
Quebec is 5 hours, and the United States border is
just 2 hours away.
