RS422 (RTU) – The interface is used as an RS485 interface by connecting pin 2 to pin 3 and
pin 4 to pin 5. The Universal RS Cable (Item No. 422.537) can also be used for this purpose.
RESTRICTIONS
Maximum number of Modbus devices
A maximum of 64 devices can be queried, the type or communication interface is irrelevant.
Modbus sensor compatibility
For details of what devices are already supported, please see the sensor datasheets.
Modbus RTU
Various Modbus devices can only be queried together if the serial communication parameters
are identical (baud rate, number of data bits, parity, stop bits).
