8,000 miles on the Appalachian Trail, a
continuous footpath that runs through
fourteen states from Georgia to Maine. Andy,

The WW II Canteens
Scott Trostel takes a look at the volunteer
efforts in Troy, Springfield, Bellefontaine,
Lima, Crestline and Marion, where troops
passed through on the railroads between
1942 and 1970. Volunteers met them on the
station platforms, gave them food, drinks,
reading material and moral support. Trostel
helped place historical markers recognizing
the humanitarian efforts at these sites.

czar who exploited immigrants, or was he
a benevolent father figure? Historian Mike
