Exhibition: April 1 – April 30, 2015
Delivery dates: March 25 & 27, 4 - 6 pm to the receiving door at the back of the building
on Clemence Street between Washington Steet and Westminster Steet
Opening reception: Thursday, April 16, 5 - 9 pm
Pickup of work: Tuesday May 5, 4 - 6 pm at the receiving door at the back of the building
on Clemence Street between Washington St and Westminster St
Eligibility: Elected and Associate
Members , whose dues are current, are
invited to submit up to three works on
the dates indicated. To check if your
dues are current, please email the office
at [email protected].
NOTE: Non-member artists may join
ALRI as Associate Members by the
delivery date to be eligible to exhibit
in the show.
Artwork: All media accepted. No
artwork previously exhibited with
ALRI, only art created in last 3 years. All
work must be completely original, not
copied from copyrighted or published
work. Only original work may be hung
on the walls (no reprints). Any member
entering an installation work must
submit a detailed description of the
installation including dimensions and
any electrical requirements to office@
artleagueri.org by March 10th. All work
must be “exhibition ready” to install
with the appropriate hardware. No saw
tooth hangers or clips. No dark-colored
mats. Work that does not adhere to the
guidelines will not be exhibited.
Associates members entries will
be juried by Madolin Maxey and Ken
Steinkamp. Email jpegs to office@
artleagueri.org with subject line,
Associate Member URI Entry, by
March 10. (Digital images must be
saved as jpg at 72ppi, 1024 pixels
longest side in RGB.)
Hanging Fee: Artists may submit up
to 3 pieces as space allows. 1 piece $30
2-3 pieces $40. (0 - 3 pieces may be
accepted, as space allows.)
Size limit: Minimum size for show 36”
in one direction. Maximum height, 84”.
Maximum width, 120”. Artists can have
multiple pieces (diptych, triptych etc.)
to make up one work. 3D weight limit:
75 pounds.
NOTE: Artists requiring special installation of work, or custom hangers, must
be available to help install their own
piece. Artists requiring pedestals must
submit size requirement to have a confirmation of availability. In general it is
advised that the artist supply their own.
Publicity: Please submit a JPG of the
work to be exhibited. Images should be
in JPG format at 300 ppi and no larger
than 6 inches in either direction. Email
jpegs to [email protected] with
subject line, URI Artist PR.
Forms: Turn in the entry form
included with this announcement.
Cut out and attach the Artist ID
section to the back of your artwork.
Please also include an updated
resume: one sheet/two-sided. Can
include statement, bio, and résumé.
Sales & Commissions: All work must
be for sale (no POR – price on request).
Prices provided by the artist should
reflect the 20% commission taken by
ALRI on all artwork sold.
Liability: Although the utmost care
will be taken during the installation
and duration of the exhibit, we advise
that artists carry their own insurance.
Neither ALRI and its representatives nor
URI Providence will be held responsible
for any damages or theft of artwork
while on the premises and/or during
the length of the exhibit.
