Step into Nature Plymouth
Health Walks programme
January – March 2015
Drakes Place & Beaumont Park
Saturday 10th January 11am - Length - up to 30 minutes
Meeting point: Meet outside the Central Library main entrance.
This walk is on easy terrain and takes in Drakes Place and Beaumont Park. This
walk is part of the Jump into January event.
Saltash Passage & Kinterbury Creek
Wednesday 21st January 10.30am - Length 60+ minutes
Meeting point: Meet outside the Co-op supermarket on Poole Park Road, PL5
1DJ. Bus No.21 stops nearby
A 60+ minute walk through kinterbury creek and Saltash Passage with great
views across the Tamar river. There is one steep incline and a couple of gradual
inclines.
East End, Barbican & Sutton harbour
Monday 9th February 10.30am - Length 60+ minutes
Meeting Point: Meet outside the Business Centre, 2 Cattedown Road, PL4 0EG.
This walk is on easy terrain and mainly flat with only a few light inclines. It has
views across the sound and takes in the historic Barbican.
Victoria Park
Thursday 26th February 10:30am – Length - Up to 30 minutes
Meeting Point: Meet by the pay area at the centre of the park. PL1 5LZ.
This walk is flat and is suitable for those wanting to start increasing their
walking activity, it is suitable for buggy’s and wheelchairs.
Saltram Circular
Saturday 7th March 10:30am – Length 60 minutes
Meeting point: Meet in the cobbled area by the shop/toilets.
A Circular walk with views across the river Plym. Some gradual inclines. This
walks has been organised with Plymouth City Council’s Plymotion Team as part
of Climate Week
Central Park & the Coop Way
Wednesday 19th March 10:30am – Length – 20 minutes or 90 minutes
Meeting Point: Meet outside the main entrance to the Life Centre.
This walk includes a short 20 minute walk over easy terrain or a longer 90
minute walk along part of the Co-op Way to Mutley and Thorn parks, Some
steady inclines.

weather forecast. Sturdy
footwear/boots recommended for
woodland and nature reserves. It’s
