The Cafeteria has opened a new ala carte stand. Some of the new offerings are chicken strips, tater tots, larger
cookies, bagged chips and drinks.
If you may have lost a hide-a key for a Jeep, see the bookkeeper.
Come one Come All to the Masquerade Ball and enjoy an evening in Paris. The Ball will be held on Sat, Jan. 24th from 8 PM
to 11 PM. Tickets go on sale next week at noon near the oval office. Tickets are $10 with ASB card & $15 without an ASB.
You must have all fines paid to purchase a ticket.
If you are interested in the Armed Services Career Exploration Program or taking the ASVAB test on Feb 7, please see Master
Chief Perry in Room 1203 to sign-up.
SENIORS: Remember…scholarship notebooks are due on January 30. If you haven’t started working on your notebook –
PLEASE START NOW!  Stop by the Guidance office and look at examples of notebooks to help you as you put yours
together. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Hill.
Peninsula College will be hosting a College Goal Washington event to help students and their families learn about and apply for
financial aid for college on Jan 24 from 1-4 pm. You do not need to be attending Peninsula College to attend this event.
The Natural Resources Options class is open for registration One day per week after school during second semester will earn
you Science, English or career credit, two optional college credits, dozens of community service hours, & the chance for real
internships. Spaces are available with Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, Feiro Marine Life Center, Streamkeepers, and
Olympic National Park. See Mr. Henry's R110 ASAP to sign up, as space is limited.
Club Meetings: current clubs that have scheduled meetings are:
Science Club meets in room 912 every Wednesday at lunch.
Popsicle Stick Bridge Building Competition meets on Wednesday in Room 604 after school
Sign Language Club meets in room 417, Mr. Rennie’s room, Thursday’s at lunch.
Native American Club meets Thursday at lunch in room 908

Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) ESA Foundation has numerous scholarships available for Washington State high school seniors.

Grants. Deadlines vary by scholarship.
Willamette University offers an Olympic Scholarship exclusively to high school graduates from Clallam and Jefferson
counties and to transfer students from Peninsula College. The amount is determined by Willamette University, with a minimum
of $2,000. This is normally a one-year award. At graduation, each recipient is designated an Olympic Scholar. For more

Navy ROTC Scholarship applications are available at http://www.nrotc.navy.mil/scholarships.aspx
Application deadline is Jan. 31, 2015. Students must have the following minimum test scores to be considered:
SAT: 520 Math; 530 Verbal/Critical Reading, ACT: 21 Math; 22 English: mid 600s
Army ROTC Scholarship applications are available at http://www.goarmy.com/rotc.html

Applications are now being accepted for the 2015-16 American Indian Endowed Scholarships (AIES). You can download
the applications at http://www.readysetgrad.org/college/american-indian-endowed-scholarship. Due by February 1, 2015.
The American Association of University Women is now accepting applications from senior girls who are planning on
attending Peninsula College in the Fall of 2015. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applications are available in the
guidance office and are due back to Ms. Hill by Friday, February 27.
EWING C. KELLY SCHOLARSHIP: Applications must be completed and returned to the scholarship committee no later
than March 10, 2015.
The following Washington State School Retirees’ Association scholarship applications are now available online at
www.wssra.org: Robert J. Handy Scholarship $900/yr renewable for 4 years (16 scholarships available) – criteria includes
grades, citizenship, self-reliance. WSSR Foundation Scholarship $1500 (8 scholarships available). Neil D. Prescott
Scholarship $1500 (1 scholarship available)

Attention Track Athletes: Throwers Thursdays begin Jan 29th after school. Open pits to throw discus, shot-put, and javelin.
Come to the track and talk to Coach Kheriaty about Track and Field. Everybody is welcome. This is a great opportunity to find
out more about throwing events in a safe and supervised pre-season warm-up. Hope to see you there.
