A CELEBRATION OF ECUMENISM - To mark 50 years after the Second Vatican Council there will be a special
service at Northampton Cathedral this Wednesday (21st) at 7.30pm to celebrate half a century of ecumenical
endeavour. Bishop Peter will lead the service and Archbishop Bernard Longley of Birmingham will preach.
SVP RETIRED PARISHIONERS’ MASS & PARTY - At the Riverside Centre next Saturday (24th) at 12 noon.
Although you are most welcome just to turn up it does help to know roughly how many people to expect. If you
are intending to come please could you let me or a member of the SVP know. If you are at Mass on Sunday
mornings the SVP can usually be found providing refreshments after the Mass. Also, please could you let us know
of anyone new who may wish to be invited to the Mass & party. Finally, transport can be provided for those who
need it - again just let me or a member of the SVP know. Thanks!
