PASTORAL CARE
Please call the parish office if you know someone
who is sick, in hospital, shut-in at home or has
been placed in a nursing home or assisted living
facility and would like to receive the sacraments or
have a visit from the priest.
FR. JACK’S HOLIDAYS
Fr. Jack will be on holidays with his family and away from
the parish December 29-February 6. While he is away Fr.
Bill Stephenson, Fr. Ray Lowing, Fr. Tony Pudota and Fr.
John will preside at Holy Masses.
CWL NEWS

The cost is $25.00. The executive will be available in the
hall next weekend.
January 31, 2015 - Catch the Fire Workshop at St.
Gerard's Parish. Time 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be
served and cost is $10.00. Come and join your S.W.
C.W.L. sisters for a day of fellowship and rejuvenating
your spirit of being a part of the C.W.L. All members and

ADORATION CHAPEL
There is an urgent need for committed adorers for one hour
weekly. Please help if you can, even temporarily. Call

space on the schedule outside the chapel door.
ST. ANTHONY’S UPCOMING EVENTS

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
Classes will be held January 30 – February 1, 2015,
Vatican II Hall. Friday begins at 4:00 PM and runs to
10:00 PM. Saturday begins at 9:00 AM and runs until
4:00 PM. Sunday begins at Noon and runs until 4:00 PM.

FAMILY DAY CELEBRATION
There will be a potluck dinner after 5:00 PM Mass on
Saturday, February, 21.
Knights of Columbus will host a parish breakfast after all
masses on Sunday, February 22.

DIOCESAN ANNOUNCEMENTS
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will take place
between January 18 and 25. The Catholic prayers for
Christian Unity (with other Christian traditions
participating) will take place on Thursday January 22nd,
7:00pm with Bishop Henry leading the service at St.
Mary’s Cathedral, Calgary. There will be a reception
following Mass.
101st World Day of Migrants and Refugees Mass:
Couples for Christ, the Diocese, and the Calgary Catholic
Immigration Society will host Mass to celebrate 101st
World Day of Migrants and Refugees, as per the Papal
Office, with Bishop Frederick Henry presiding, on
January 19 at 7.00pm. at St. Mary’s Cathedral,
Calgary. The Mass will be an experience of the true
diversity of our Christian brethren in the Roman Diocese
and the Catholic Church, with many communities
participating.
Faith Enrichment for Seniors: The Religious
Education Office will be offering a Faith Enrichment for
Seniors group beginning Monday, January 26, and will
continue on Feb.2, Feb. 9, and Feb.23rd at St. Joseph’s
Parish from 1:00 to 3 pm.. It will be held No registration
is required and all are welcome. For further information

Grief Share Program – St. Michael’s Catholic
Community Begins Tuesday, February 10, 2015, 7:00 –
9:00 PM and runs every Tuesday evening for 6 weeks. For
individuals or couples who have experienced the loss of
loved ones, the program includes: a video seminar,
facilitated group support discussions, and a personal
workbook. No cost involved.

FR. JACK’S CHUCKLE
During the minister’s prayer, one Sunday, there was a
loud whistle from one of the back pews. Gary’s
mother was horrified. She pinched him into silence
and, after church asked, “Gary, whatever made you do
such a thing?” Gary answered, soberly, “I asked God
to teach me to whistle and ..., He just then did!”

Our Perpetual Adoration Chapel has been a source of grace and spiritual growth 24 hours per day since June
2003. Consider becoming a Committed Adorer for one hour weekly.
Committed Adorers are required for: Sunday midnight-1am & 3-4pm, Monday & 9-10am, Tuesday 7-8am,
Wednesday 7-8am, &10-11pm, Thursday 4-5am, 7-8am & noon-1pm, and Saturday 3-4pm.
