Today’s announcements for 1/12/2015 are as follows
1. Due to the death of a fifth-grade Posen student in a car accident Friday night, we would like to convey the
following information. On behalf of our entire school community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the
family during this very difficult time. Many of our students know the individual who died. Your child,
depending on the relationship she or he has with the student, may experience a variety of emotions. Our crisis
intervention team and counselors will be at Posen School all day today for students and staff. This tragic loss
reminds all of us how precious life is.
2. Attention ALL Seniors & Parents/Guardians of Seniors – FAFSA Workshop (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the High School Computer Lab @ 6:30pm. Presenter:
Robert Roose-Director of Financial Aid, Alpena Community College.
-FAFSA questions answered by local expert, Complete your FAFSA during workshop, Create options for your
future, Bring tax information for current year, or last year, Coordinated by TRiO Talent Search
3. TBCHS Dental will be coming to Posen Schools in the near future. Students recently received a consent form
to take home for cleaning, fluoride varnish application and sealants where needed according to insurance
guidelines and eligibility. Please complete the consent form with insurance information on or before 1/13/15.
In order to maintain accurate statistical information, we request the form be returned even if you choose not to
have your child participate. Forms can be found on the school website www.posenschools.com
4. Girls Basketball Scores from Friday: Posen Varsity Won!
5. Girls Basketball Game Away against Tawas 6pm bus leaves at 3pm (Driver Megan)
