Verbatims

Each student is expected to make one directed pastoral visit per month while on placement, and discuss that visit with the
Superintendent.
There is also an opportunity and requirement for the student to write 3 verbatims to discuss with the tutor. Normally these will be
chosen from the directed pastoral visits. This will:
• assist the student to gain experience in writing case studies and verbatims and to reflect on the processes involved in
developing skills for making effective personal contacts
• provide an opportunity for self evaluation of practice
• provide a more intentional base for the tutor’s work with students on pastoral care
Sermons and/or Worship Leadership
Each participant has 5 critiqued sermons/services to achieve by 31 October. These are to be placed on a mahara collection.
