Drive-ins and IMAX theatres do not form part of this Ster-Kinekor benefit. There is also a Kids benefit that allows child dependents older than two and younger than 18 years to see movies before 7pm for free. Who may use this benefit The main member, spouse, adult dependants and child dependants may use this benefit. Getting started To start using this benefit, you can do one of the following: 1. Go to any Ster-Kinekor cinema any time it is open and take your: Discovery membership card Identity document A once-off activation fee for you and each dependant who wants to use the benefit. The cinema staff member will then take your photograph and give you a card. OR 2. Activate your benefit on the Ster-Kinekor website. To do this, you must: Fill in all required fields, starting with your Discovery membership number Pay a once-off activation fee online for you and each dependant who wants to use the benefit. Go to a Ster-Kinekor cinema of your choice any time its open. Show your identity document and Discovery membership card to the cinema staff. The staff member will then take your photograph and give you a card. If you have a child dependant older than two and younger than 18 years old, you can use the Kids benefit. See section ‘What the Kids benefit is’ for details. What you pay Summary of what you pay: Members will pay a once-off activation fee and a reduced rate for each movie ticket. The cinema may also ask you to show it before entering the cinema. This benefit is different to the Ster-Kinekor Movie Club Note that the Vitality Ster-Kinekor benefit is a different benefit to the Ster-Kinekor Movie Club. Make sure you understand that different prices, rules and limits may apply. You are allowed to belong to both the Vitality Ster-Kinekor benefit and the Ster-Kinekor Movie Club. However, you cannot use the Vitality Ster-Kinekor benefit with any other discount, including the Ster-Kinekor Movie Club discount. You can only watch the same movie once If you want to watch the same movie twice, you must pay the normal Ster-Kinekor rate for the second screening. No discount on half-price movies You do not qualify for half-price tickets available to ordinary members of the public on Tuesdays. Ending the benefit The benefit ends if the Vitality membership is cancelled. The Kids benefit What the Kids benefit is Child dependants older than two and younger than 18 years can see movies that start before 7pm for free. This includes 3D movies. (In other words the benefit begins on the day of the child’s second birthday and end the day before the child’s 18th birthday.) After that, the normal Vitality movie rates will apply. Getting started The main member or spouse must complete a Kids Personal Health Review on behalf of their child at www.discovery.co.za during the year to qualify for this benefit. You can use this benefit as soon as the points for the Kids Personal Health Review show on the Discovery system. What you pay You will have to pay a starting fee. Refer to www.discovery.co.za for fee details. There is a replacement card fee if you need a new card. How it works You can use this benefit for 12 months from the date the main member or spouse completes the Kids Personal Health Review. To keep the free movie benefit for the next 12 months, the main member or spouse must complete the Kids Personal Health Review again before the first 12 months have ended. This gives another 12 months on the benefit from the date that the new Kids Personal Health Review is completed. Existing Vitality Ster-Kinekor benefit rules apply. For example, children may not see the same movie more than once. Children may not see movies that are age restricted if they are not within the age limit. Ending the benefit The Kids movie benefit ends at midnight on the child's 18th birthday. In other words, it ends before the day of the birthday and they will no longer qualify for free movies at Ster-Kinekor before 7pm. After that, the normal Vitality movie rates will apply and adult dependents (children 18 years and older) will have to purchase their own Ster-Kinekor movie card. Terms and conditions apply.
