Players must bring their own International chess set (and chess clock if, any)
AICF Registration : All participants must be registered with AICF for the year 2014-2015. Those who are not registered should apply for
registration by paying a fee of Rs. 250/- and one passport size photo along with Date of Birth certificate from municipality and duly filled AICF
registration form should be signed by the player. Those who are already registered with AICF must show the proof thereof.
TNSCA Registration is compulsory for Tamil Nadu Players. The TNSCA Registration fee is Rs. 100/- for the year 2014-15.
System of play : The tournament will be played under the FIDE laws of chess.
Time control : 90 minutes each with 30 seconds increment per move, from move number 1, for mechanical clocks, 120 minutes each.
Tie-break : Buchholz tie-break system will be applied.
Protests : Protests, if any against the decision of the chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs. 500/- within 15 minutes of the
occurrence of the incident to the Appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded, if the appeal is upheld.
Withdrawals : A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the Chief Arbiter in writing.
Appeals committee : Before the commencement of the tournament, Appeals committee will be formed from the senior participants present
at the players meeting. The decision of the appeals committee is final and binding on all players concerned.
Rights of Admission : The AICF / TNSCA / Namakal District Chess Foundation / the organizer Aim Chess Academy reserves the right to
admit or refuse any entry without assigning any reason thereof.
The AICF / TNSCA / Namakal District Chess Foundation / the organizer Aim Chess Academy reserve the rights of admission to the venue
and lodging place.
Date of Birth certificate is a must for claiming category prizes.
Dormitory type of accommodation will be provided to the outstation players. Players should bring their own beddings.
Food : Catering facilities are available at the venue. A player is eligible for only one prize.
