Participants will be partnered with other participants on a rotating basis throughout the course. Course Completion Participants must attend all scheduled sessions and pass a written and clinical exam in order to receive college course credits and a certificate of completion. Upon successful course completion participants will be eligible to submit application to take the NERB (North East Regional Board) Local Anesthesia Examination. During online prestudy, lecture, and lab components, the participant will learn to safely administer topical and local anesthetics. It is a 2 credit college course which is equivalent to 30 CEU’s. Format Pre-study Online Component  Participants will be required to complete online study guides, exercises, and quizzes on Blackboard(Bb). Students must have internet access, basic computing, and web skills. A completed notebook formatted as directed on Bb:(Local Anesthesia Notebook Assignment) must be presented on the first night of class Sufficient time must be devoted in order to achieve success in the course. It is estimated that a minimum of 20-30 hours of time will be required for this prestudy component. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible so to allow adequate study time before the on site portion of the course. Begin taking the online course in the order presented. Complete it by March 25, 2015. Students who do not complete the online portion and completed notebook by March 25, 2015 will be dismissed from the course. The CCRI email is the only official means of communication in the college.
