be Ordained on St. Joseph Day on March 19th at 2 p.m.
at the Cathedral. Bishop Dendinger will serve as
Administrator until then. Prayers of the Faithful are

9:00 a.m. in the Church Meeting Room. Everyone is invited
to this lite breakfast and fellowship.
Persons nominated for Circle Leaders and Offices will be
called this week. Names of those who say yes will be selected
by Lot next week. Let us pray and support the Good Work of
the Ladies of CCW. Amen.

Sweetheart Dinner
42nd Anniversary of Roe v Wade (January 22)
Join thousands of Catholics across the country coming
together in prayer for the 56 million children's lives have been
lost to abortion, for those suffering that loss -- often in
silence, and for a conversion to a "culture of life" from
Saturday, January 17 - Sunday, January 25. To learn more

Nebraska's Walk for Life and Pro Life Mass
(January 31)
A Pro-Life Mass will be held at 9:00 am at St. Mary's Church
(across the street from the Capitol at 14th and K). Most
Reverend William J. Dendinger, Bishop of Grand Island will
be the main celebrant and Bishop-Elect, Msgr. Joe
Hanefeldt, former Pro- Life Director for the Archdiocese of
Omaha will be the homilist.
The annual Walk for Life sponsored by Nebraska Right to
Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 31st at the
State Capitol in Lincoln. A brief program will take place at
the Capitol, then participants walk seven blocks to UNL
Student Union for keynote speaker, Mario St. Francis, a
former actor and model who is currently the spokesperson for
WorldYouthDay.com. He will share his conversion story and
his experience with youth in the prolife movement around the
world.
Dress warm and bring family and friends to this
peaceful witness for LIFE!
St. Anthony’s 10th Annual Sweetheart dinner will be held at
St. Anthony’ Catholic Church in Farwell on Saturday,
February 14th. Hors de oeuvres will start at 5:30 p.m. and
dinner at 6:00 p.m. This year’s meal is Windsor Loin,
Chicken, Potatoes, Vegetable, Salad & Dessert.

World Marriage Day
In Celebration of World Marriage Day, St. Mary’s Cathedral
is sponsoring an Anniversary Mass on Saturday, Feb.7 at
5:00 p.m. All married couples in the Diocese of Grand Island
whose anniversary is divisible by 5 in the years 2014 – 2015
will be honored at the Holy Mass.
Most Reverend William J. Dendinger, Bishop of Grand

Soup and Sandwich Luncheon
Soup and Sandwich Luncheon at St. Francis Church in
Ashton on Sunday, January 25th. Serving from 11 a.m. till
2 p.m. Chicken Noodle, Chili and Czarnina soups,
Sandwiches, desserts and drink.
Adults $7, 6-12 $4 , 5 and under Free.
Mass will be Celebrated at 12:05 in Ashton that day.
