INTSIKA YETHU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY
Chris Hani District Municipality wishes to invite applications from matriculants and
unemployed graduates residing within the Intsika Yethu Local Municipality jurisdiction to apply
for inclusion on its internship programme database.
Matriculants and Unemployed graduates in the following fields of study are invited to apply:
Field Of Study for Graduates
National Diploma or Degree in:
Accounting
Cost & Management Accounting
Local Government Finance
Internal Auditing
or Equivalent Qualification Majoring
Accounting
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Water Quality Management
Compulsory Subjects for Matriculants (one
of the following)
Mathematics
Accounting
Science
in
REQUIREMENTS




Applicants must be between the age of 18 – 35
Applicants must have completed their qualification [Attach Proof of Completion]
Applicants must reside within the Intsika Yethu Local Municipality [Attach proof of
residence from Intsika Yethu Local Municipality]
Applicants who previously benefited from the internship programme will not be
considered.
NOTE:
Applications are for the inclusion on the database only and are not a guarantee for placement.
It is expected that the successful applicants will be stationed within Intsika Yethu Local
Municipality.

Application letters accompanied by a comprehensive CV, certified copies of
qualifications, identity document and proof of residence must be sent to the Chris Hani
District Municipality not later than Monday the 26th January 2015 at 12h00. No faxed
CV’’s or e- mail applications will be accepted. It will be expected of candidates to be
available for selection interviews on a date and time as determined by the
Municipality. If the candidate / applicant is found canvassing any of the panelists he /
she automatically disqualify him/herself. Appointments will be subjected to
compulsory pre-employment screening in the form of qualification, reference, criminal
checks and competency assessment (where applicable). Candidate in possession of
foreign qualification should attach a certificate of evaluation of their qualifications from
SAQA. If the candidate has not been contacted within a month after the closing date
he/she must accept that his/her application was unsuccessful.
