As far as records go, it is believed that she is the only person to hold that position. She started as Membership Chair at the beginning of the formation of the association. We can not thank you enough, Mary Ann!!! So here is a big HUG!! ALERT!! Unless there is a change at the January 22nd meeting, this will be the last printed newsletter you will receive until June! Due to the cost of printing the Association chose to send only three printed newsletters a year. If you feel this action needs to change please attend the meeting. Also, if you wish to get up-to-date information all year, send your e-mail address to [email protected] Let’s Keep Alley and 8th Street Clear! For those of us who live behind the alley and adjourning 8th Street we ask your consideration and please keep the alley way clear of cars. If you have workers at your residents, please ask them to not block the alley and try to provide them with a parking area on your lot. When cars are not moving in these areas it causes a real problem with traffic flow, especially for those whose access to their garage is in the surrounding area. It can be a problem with emergency vehicles that need to respond to problems in the area. Welcome New Neighbor Kathy Wilkerson has just moved into an apartment at 540/542 S. 9th Street. Clearly you have it down to a science - as I came home from work Tuesday to see it all in place, and came home from my family’s Christmas on Thursday to see it all put away. But that doesn’t mean it was easy and convenient for you all. We lead busy lives - you took the time out of yours to continue a wonderful tradition that the entire city benefits from. Thank you so much! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and wish you all good things in the New Year! Karen Demerly Contribution Time Again! Once again the Historic Ninth Street Hill Neighborhood Association is asking for your help by donating funds to the Association to help support the projects we have throughout the year. These projects include the Festooned Fourth Festivities, the Box Parade, and the Luminaria Display in December. Your financial support is needed. Please use the attached envelope to send your donation. We are a 501© (3), making donations tax deductible. Thank you.
