Unlimited – Moving to Friday Night In January, New Life’s youth program -‐ Unlimited -‐ will be moving to Friday nights, 7.00 – 9.00pm. God created us as three-‐ part beings – body, soul and spirit. We know this, yet what we so easily overlook is how three parts are not separate but connected. And the health of each part can have great impact on the other. Therefore, New Life is very excited to be launching our new house group series for 2015 -‐ the Daniel Plan. As house groups we will be looking at and putting into practice a more Biblically wholistic approach to life. We have just finished an exciting term, and have put in process the unlimited resources and potential our young people have in God, and this has proved to be extremely beneficial. "The Daniel Plan is framed around The Essentials: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends – life areas that all work together to restore and sustain your long-‐term health. Faith is the foundation with God as the source of the power and the energy behind all transformational change. As you follow The Daniel Plan, you will discover that you have a part to play in getting healthier, but God will energize your efforts... People who do the program together lose 50% more weight!" This term, we will begin ‘Unlimited – Element’, which will involve exploring elements of the Bible through strategic teaching and discussion looking for answers to the current and often contentious issues and questions our young people are faced with on a daily basis. If you are not yet in a house group, this is a fantastic time to join one and take part in this journey towards change with the support and encouragement of others. However, if you are unable to join a house group at this time you can still participate in The Daniel Plan, but we would strongly encourage you to do it with friends or family, as it is most effective done within community. 18th January -‐ Welcoming Tony & Hilde Jackson Most of you will remember Hilde and Tony Jackson and their twin girls, Inger-‐ Helen and Victoria. They finished their Family Discipleship Training School with YWAM in Hawaii and their outreach in the Philippines a few months back. They have since been living and working in Kona as YWAM staff, while Tony learned some skills in aquaponics and sustainability that he will need when they go into third world nations in the future. They are now preparing to transition onto staff at YWAM King’s Lodge in Nuneaton, England, where Tony will pass on what he has learned in Hawaii. In January, while on their way to Nuneaton, they will be stopping in to visit us at New Life and share more personally what God has been teaching them and doing through them, as well as what is ahead for them as a family. ‘Unlimited’ seeks to be a focused discipleship programme that enables, empowers and engages our young people to go deeper in their faith, growing both in their understanding of God and of themselves. This is a place where young people will experience God and learn how to express the purposes He has for them. As Unlimited, we really value your prayers – especially as we step into the new year and engage with our young people and the specific questions they are faced with.
