The Library has a large collection of books on
the subject areas of education, languages,
business, arts and social sciences, liberal arts,
sciences and mathematics. E-books are also
available to cater modern sources of books acquisition. The library has a capacity of accommodating 200 people at a time.

INTRODUCTION
Teofilo Kisanji University Dar es salaam
Centre( TEKUDARCE) is one of the
centre established by Teofilo Kisanji
University in 2011, the other being in
Tabora. It offers various Certificates and
Diploma Programmes in social sciences and
business studies.
LOCATION
The centre is located near KKKT-Kijitonyama
behind the Commission for Science and
Technology (COSTECH) building.

OUR MISSION
The mission of Teofilo Kisanji University,
Dar es salaam Centre is to provide
opportunities for conducting training, research
and consultancy in the areas of education,
social sciences, science subjects, commercial
and any other areas as the University finds
useful to the community.
(i) DEGREE PROGRAMMES

Duration: Three(3) years.
Admission requirements
(a) Direct entry:
Three O’level Credit passes in relevant subjects and two
principal passes and must have grade point average of not
less than 2.0 (A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; E=1; and S=0.5).
Must apply through the Central Admissions System (CAS)
(b) Equivalent Qualification Scheme:
Five O’level passes in relevant subjects and a Certificate of
1st Class or Diploma of minimum 2nd Class obtained at a
recognized institution. Applicants with certificate at less than
the qualification above must have had at least two years
experience in the relevant field of study.

students who did not perform well so as to

Note:
All Diploma programs are offered in two modes of
study that is full time and evening time.
(iv) SHORT COURSES
The centre offers various short courses in
the field of IT. We offer
• Basic computer application course
• Advanced microcomputer application
• Database design and administration
• Web designing
Entry Qualification:
The applicant must hold at least one principal level pass and
subsidiary in the Advanced level of Secondary Education (“A”
level)
OR
Relevant Certificate of at least a Second class level from an
accredited institution.
Each being conducted in six(6) to
eight(8) weeks and certificates are
awarded to successful students.
