Neoprene Contact
Adhesive Extra
Contact adhesive for floor coverings
• Very wide application range
• Extremely high bond strength
• Instant load-bearing
Scope of use
Solvent-based, extra strong neoprene contact adhesive for bonding
– rubber coverings with a smooth, sanded backing and moulded
stairs
– homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC coverings
– linoleum and cork coverings
– textile and needle punch coverings
– stair nosing and skirting boards
– Thomsit Floor® TF 303 and TF 305
on all surfaces that are ready to receive flooring. Do not use on
Thomsit FF 69 Flex Finish or on other materials that are sensitive
to solvents.
Substrate preparation
Substrates must comply with the requirements of ATV DIN 18 365
"Flooring work", BS CP 5325, 8203, 8204 or comparable national
standards. In particular, they must be clean, free from structural
defects, firm, dry and free of substances which may impair adhesion. After mechanical pretreatment (e.g. grinding / vacuuming),
prepare the substrate with suitable Thomsit primers and levelling
compounds so that it is ready to receive floor coverings. On mastic
asphalt screeds apply a layer of at least 2 mm thickness. Strip
dense, smooth substrates, like ceramic tiles, natural stone or metal
surfaces, using an intensive cleaner and grind if necessary.

Product safety
Stir adhesive well and apply to the backing of the floor covering
using either a smoothing trowel or an A4 notched trowel (depending on the structure of the back) and to the substrate using an A3
notched trowel. Allow to dry completely, testing with a finger to
make sure that the adhesive is touch-dry. Install the floor covering,
taking care to position it accurately, and rub or tap it down well.
Once in place, it cannot be repositioned. Wait at least 24 hours before welding the joins.
The product contains high levels of solvent. Before purchase/use,
check if the use of a solvent-free alternative product is possible
(e.g., Thomsit DT 700, K 188 E or K 175 ). Thomsit K 182 is highly
flammable. Solvents contained in the product vaporize during
application which can form explosive/highly flammable vapour /
air mixtures. Once the adhesive has hardened, the release of
volatile organic substances is negligible. Nevertheless, ensure good
ventilation during and after application and drying. Avoid eating,
drinking or smoking while processing this product. Information for
allergy sufferers on: +49 (0) 211 797 0 (key word: emergency).
Keep out of the reach of children.
Important information
• Do not use on Thomsit FF 69 Flex Finish.
• It cannot be completely excluded that the solvent contained in
the adhesive may cause discoloration with certain types of CV/PVC
flooring. For more information please contact the respective
flooring manufacturer. We recommend using dispersion adhesives or dry adhesive tapes.
• If adhesive has solidified due to cold storage, keep in a warm
place for at least 24 hours before use with the lid tightly closed.
• Tightly close opened buckets and use them up quickly.
• Open and working time may vary depending on temperature and
absorbency of the substrate. They will be shorter at higher temperatures and higher absorbency, but longer at lower temperatures ans with non-absorbent substrates.
For professional users.
