Sleigh Rides in Canada originated as a form of
transportation in farming communities throughout the country. Dog
Sledding in Canada had been around for centuries before Europeans arrived and set up communities. Horse-drawn plows tilled the soil during the
growing season. During the winter; however, transportation
became difficult and sleighs were fabricated.
Experience a little of Canada’s history and enjoy a Sleigh Ride at the
Ennismore Community Centre. The rides will take place on Saturday,
January 31 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Marc Campbell of Ennismore will
have his team of horses on site and invites everyone to take a jont
around the community centre property.
