Please ensure that March renewals are mailed to Membership Services with enough time to be processed prior to the Championships. Entrants must be resident in the UK. Applications Participants must enter under their club – as designated by the club number on their British Taekwondo Membership. Clubs cannot combine or compete as an association or squad. Mixed club teams/pairs will be eligible for team trophy points – the points will be split evenly. Please ensure all details entered online are correct. All emails will be sent to Club Instructors and not individual players. 1. Any corrections/amendments must be made by 10 days before the event. 2. 7 days before the event, the final player list will be emailed. 3. Any changes 3 days before event will incur £20 admin cost. 4. Any changes on the day will incur £30 admin cost. On Wednesday 25th February 2015 the Compulsory Poomsae will be emailed. Organisers have the right to make any necessary changes. All competitors participate at their own risk, no claim whatsoever can be made against the organizer or British Taekwondo. The organisers and British Taekwondo shall not accept responsibility for any damages, injuries, or losses sustained or incurred. Ages All age categories (Dan, Kup, Para, Freestyle) are based on year of birth and not age at the competition. Therefore it is there age on 31st December 2015. Pairs/Teams Dan Grade & Freestyle Pairs & Teams MUST all be in the correct age category – they cannot be mixed ages (the team can be mixed clubs). Dan Grades can only enter in 1 pair and 1 team. Kup Grade Pairs & Teams CAN be mixed and made up of any age/belt and will be placed in the cate ory of the highest belt & highest age. Please bear in mind that older age category pairs/gteams may be on a different day – please check the schedule carefully. Kup Grades can enter in more than one team or pair as long as it is not in the same category (cannot enter the same category twice). (if you have any queries please contact Master Gemma at: [email protected] ) Method of Competition Cut-off System is to be used. 1st Round: 20 or more competitors. 2nd Round: 9-19 competitors or 50% from 1st Round. Final – Top 8 Competitors (Groups with 9 competitors may be a straight final) Awards 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Place awards shall be given for each category. Dan Awards will be presented at the end of each Competition Day – only competitors will be allowed to receive the presentation (no spectators or children allowed on or around the podium area). Club Awards: 1st place = 9 points, 2nd = 6 points, 3rd = 3 points, 4th = 2 points Team/Club awards will also be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd both Kup & Dan categories. The freestyle points will be added to the Dan Awards. Mixed club pairs/teams will have their points split evenly. Kup Grade competitors not awarded in the top 4 will receive a participation medal. Uniforms Competitors are competing for their club and are not allowed to wear GB doboks/tracksuits. Home Counties doboks are allowed (ENG, NI, GIB, SCO, IOM) at the discretion of your club instructor. Poomsae doboks are encouraged to be worn but in the interests of promoting new clubs/competitors – normal WTF doboks will also be allowed. Protests Any protests must be made by the Club Coach on completion of the Official Protest form within 10 minutes of the end of that contest to the Judging Director: Grandmaster TW Shin. The protest fee is £75 (refunded if protest is won). Two sections of the form require completion. Section 1 must be completed by ALL applicants. If the applicant is a parent/guardian/relative of a student competing then section 2 must also be completed, section 3 if it is an instructor/coach/representative of a BTCB club and section 4 is for all other representatives/officials.
