Growing in Grace
Growing in grace as we’re running this race,
that Christ has set before us.
Living our lives to the glory of Christ,
together we will grow
-in His grace - and the knowledge of Christ,
to Him be the glory both now and evermore.
Seeking His face here in this place
We are growing in grace.
We are growing in grace.

We Were Not Born with Spiritual Life
And you hath he quickened [made to live], who were dead in trespasses and
sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in
the children of disobedience: - Ephesians 2:1-2
Simply put, Heartland is all about LIFE. True-life can only be found through
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our church seeks life and growth
after the Scripture’s pattern. The Bible shares in the second chapter of
Ephesians that while we are born in a state of spiritual death, but spiritual
life is available to all.
New Year - New Theme
Our theme for 2015 is “Growing Together,” based upon
Ephesians 2:19-22. It is the great privilege of Christians to be
united together in Christ and to build one another for His glory!

Spiritual Life Cannot Be Earned
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9
Spiritual Life Must Be Received
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even
when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace
ye are saved); - Ephesians 2:4
Spiritual life begins when one comes to God by faith, repenting of their
sins and believing that Jesus Christ alone is able to save them from sin and
its consequences. In Jesus Christ, spiritual life begins (John 3:16).
ChurchGrowth
Once made alive in Christ, the believer will grow through obedience to
God and His Word.
Growth is a Evidence of Spiritual Life
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. - Ephesians 2:10
Growth Takes Place in the Church
God has established the church as a community of growth where He
dwells. There His children worship, strengthen one another, fellowship, and
work together to bring spiritual life to a spiritually dead world.
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in
the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God
through the Spirit. - Ephesians 2:21-22
