The final piece of my major project explored
the sensory qualities that are lost when paper
books are digitalised and the jarring tactility of
e-books.
Using traditional book-making techniques and
a variety of high quality tactile papers, and the
dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451, my book displayed
the author’s original manuscript annotations and
marginalia, readers interaction with the materiality of
the pages, the conceptual space of the book and the
binary relationship between the pages and critique of
screen based reading and e-book materiality.

Elizabeth Ashard is a bespoke, handmade rug
designer. As such, the visuals for the company’s
website design and branding had to showcase the
high quality visual content.
The website is fully responsive, creating the
optimal visual experience for all desktop, tablet
and mobile devises without compromising the
premium design value and functionality. Subtle
navigation animations ensures that the design
is still dynamic and visually engaging.
IN DEVELOPMENT. TO BE LAUNCHED JAN 2015.

A self-initiated project, this
series of hand drawn visual pun
illustrations under the name
‘Rhymes With Spaghetti’ combine
my love of humour, copywriting
and illustration. I sell them as A5
cards and 5x7” prints.

I designed an infographic rationale document the
strategic philanthropic relations agency, The Global
Cause Consultancy, to introduce the their work to
potential clients in a visually dynamic and engaging
way.
I wrote this document in its entirety, from the initial
research into the charity climate to the copy, the
infographic illustration and the document design.

Exploring the form, colour, light, texture
and context of a circle. This project led me
to look at the importance of considering
all the senses in design and looking at
Kenya Hara’s exhibition ‘Haptic’.
My outcome was a series of
numbers made out of highly sense
engaging things - for example coffee,
grapefruit, cotton wool - each with
a corresponding box for the user to
open and experience. My outcome
aimed to encourage designers to
think about designing with all the
senses in mind rather than just sight.
Thank you for having a look!
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
